Haha! I'll admit... I do sound like one, but I'm not. I stay away from roulette. I've learned my lesson, and I love blackjack too much.

I believe patience and money management are key. you say 3 or 4 winners per week. I say if one could have the mentality of waiting for maybe 2 or 3 games per month and drop large on them. that would be the best way. There are always a game or two per month where you have a 90 plus percent chance of winning. But not many can wait 7 days or even 14 for that perfect bet. For example if today is the 1st and you had 5000 to play and someone gave you an inside on a winner for the 13th. Most of us would play that 5000 and be at zero or down to 1000 dollars come the 13th. You put 5000 on the game and you're at 10,000, but the degenerate gamblers that squandered off most of their money in the previous 12 days leading to the 13th can only capatilize on the game for a 1000. Then you slowly smoke that off. I strongly believe if you could discipline yourself to maybe 2 or 3 wagers per month. Your percentages of winning would go thru the roof. But what happens is what the gentleman said earlier, you make play on something for action and it loses, then you make the 1pm football game wager that you had no intentions on betting and next thing you know you're 0-2 and making more out of the norm plays. less plays is best. Another thing the more you play, the harder it is to curb that action itch. Can't tell you how many times I wanna play one game and I wake up and force a 10 am game followed by a 1pm game and straight chasing to get even on the game I really liked in the evening. Good luck, I've tried my crack at it on many of occasions and have lost way too much money with sports gambling. UGH. I'm 42 and wish I had never started 20 years ago.

TyDarius--I hope this person is not seriously thinking about doing this, and I think it is irresponsible to say that there is always a game or two per month where you have a 90 plus percent chance of winning. That is not true.

Nothing is "90% chance of winning." I think the gentleman was making a point regarding minimizing your exposure and the figure of 90% should not be taken literal.

I tend to agree with the notion that it is better to play less outcomes. But it also does not ensure that you are going to win more.

Ever seen the movie Casino? In that movie there is a scene that depicts Ace, back home in the Midwest, as a young up and coming gambler. When his degenerate boss asked him how he had Michigan beating Oklahoma when no one else did. He wouldn't say. Then when asked "What you got for me this week." He responds, with, "Its too early, but Ill know by Thursday." A narrative followed "There was nothing Ace didn't know about a game. He knew if the players were up doing blow the night before. Or if the quarterbacks girlfriend was pregnant. He even knew the way the ball bounced on the different kind of wood on the basketball floor."

That's what you have to aspire to become. We live in an era with so much information. With that come new challenges. The odds makers are extremely sharp these days. So playing on a daily basis, is going to be a losing proposition. Just look at the ATS numbers in the NFL last year. Glance at that. If you bet just all favorites you would lose at 48.47% and even betting the dogs, you'd still lose to the vig. YOU HAVE TO NARROW DOWN AND LESSEN EXPOSURE!
On my log I have had 5 such games this year, its mid July. The record was 4-1. But as mentioned and forewarned by a poster, while waiting for that opportunity, a bankroll could be pissed away from daily grind of being an action junkie.

[Quote: If you're betting with $100 units, you'll have $200 on the table. Chasing, you'll lay $600, $1,800, $5,400, $16,200, $48,600... I've used this method before and it's very effective. Very difficult to lose four consecutive spins.

So you're advocating betting $48k to win back that $100 stake, why would a sane person do that?

I've seen 8 consecutive spins where the ball landed in the 3rd dozen, you're forgetting that little plastic ball doesn't have a built-in memory chip

I dont even understand why people waste time in the casino, unless youre going there to place a wager on sports or play poker perhaps its a waste of time. No edge in the casino in any of their games. The house has all the edge. Who wants to play blackjack with multiple decks, I stay away from anything dealing with luck or chance, theres no skill involved in that.
