What pissed me off was a few years ago another lotto winner in central Florida had a story run on him. What pissed me off was he was already so well off. He owned multiple doctor's offices and really did not need the money. Always questioned why he played to begin with.
I don't think luck has anything to do with karma, religion, or being Irish. Its all about getting the warm piece of the sidewalk time to time. For instance, my wife recently won $2K at the slot machines while I blew $500 at the poker table (Real bad luck I flopped a set and the other guy runner runner me to make a full house).

All I know is that I am happy for the lucky people and sad for the unlucky ones. Compassion. Who controls luck or why it exists does not interest me. Some of the luckiest people I know gamble and they get lucky sometimes, why would God reward greed? I do not think it would enter his mind or concern him if I won my parlay or rolled 10 passes at craps or hit a lottery or hit a big slot. I do not know and can not control who gets cancer or heart attack or gets killed in an accident. Events happen, physical phenomena like getting bit by a shark, rare but it happens. More likely in Maui than Michigan. Where luck comes from or why it exists is like faith. You either believe in it or you don't. I have been lucky and unlucky at times in my life.
