Unless there is a conflict of interest, most ushers don't even bother with people moving up closer to the action. At A's game, we're free to roam as we please in a stadium where 5K shows up in a stadium built to house over 60K.

AT & T Park really is awesome esp. during afternoon games. There really is no bad seat there. Incredible views. Night games, better bring some warm clothes because it is bone chiling cold even in the middle of summer.

Yeah that's how bad they've fallen. The team is still competitive, but fan turnout is like 1/5 th of what it used to be during the Bash Brother days. Even the Raiders have a tough time selling out as well.

I think The Hawk makes a good point. EVERY game is important in both NFL and NCAA football and therefore there is more interest. baseball and NBA basketball are both seasons with damn near a game every night. also the NFL playoffs are "win or go home" where as MLB and NBA playoffs are multi-game.

that being said, one of the things that make NCAA basketball such a draw during "march madness" IS it's single elimination "win or go home" so EVERY game is important
