Damn I always feel like going to bed and then get caught up on this site.

I live withing an hour and 45 minutes of Yankee Stadium, camden yards and Citizen bank ball park and have friends who are orioles fans and phillies fans (I'm a Yanks fan)

I go to about a game every 2 week and its what I look forward to most about summer. Never personally been to an NFL game, been to over 50 baseball games in my life though.

Thats a good question that can probably be answered by google but i am too lazy too look it up. Does a guy on the NFL practice squad make the league minimum? Because if he does I can assure you he makes tons more than the guy on the Double A squad....right?

Yeah I grew up in Houston and when I was young went to Stros games in the Astrodome, then in the 6th grade they opened Enron Field AKA Minute Maid Park...and since then I was really hooked. I lived in the suburbs of Houston about 20 minutes from downtown and we would try and head to the ball park 2 nights a week during the summer. It was great and I miss the shit out of it. I am only 23 but just recently moved to NC and have been to a Panthers game (against Atlanta) and it was awesome watching Cam. But I am accustomed going to Texans games watching EFFING DAVID CARR at the helm lmao...I am almost 24 keep in mind so fairly young.

Nfl games got to be sick, but I feel like unless you go to a SNF or MNF game you are missing so much because you only get to see 2 teams play all day

I don't know about Double A baseball, but I'm pretty sure it's not even remotely close to that. (Unless I've been lied too.)


And cheerleaders make only " 50-200$ an appearence."

An average minor league player in A ball makes $1000/month, AA, $1600.00, AAA, 2300, and when a player becomes a free agent after 6 years he is able to negotiate and can make some decent money in AAA, avg. 7 to 12 thousand a month, for the season, which is only 5 months.

Shit. What I wouldn't give to be 25 yrs old again. Eventhough I'm still in great shape (36), it can't compare to when I was your ages.

earthWake, yea I see what you are saying about the whole football game thing..but just have your espy fantasy app handy and check the scores as the game goes along. An NFL game is def worth the experience but it is WAYYYY overrated IMO. Because the constant fucking TV timeouts in live football games is annoying as hell. But I was at the live game when the Texans played the Rams and Ryan Fitzpatrick came in for Marc Bulger years ago and came on to the scene and beat the Texans in OT with a bomb to Kevin Curtis..if you are lucky enough to catch a game like that then its well worth it. But more than likely you are better off posting up on the couch with some beer and wings. Hahahaha...but baseball games live when the game goes in to extras and the home team ends up winning is hard to beat. LOVE that feeling...the electricity is impossible to match, even if it is some random game in June

I know the feeling you are talking about man.

I was at the game where A-Rod hit his 500th homerun..I was literally about 20 yards from where the ball landed. Epic moment

It happened on August 4th, I forget the year..I wanna 2007 but can't be sure. I just remember staring at my ticket and it saying August 4th..crazy

That is so true about television timeouts in football. Usually I just spend the time checking out the cheerleaders. That's makes up for it, I suppose.

Married with one kid and another on the way this summer. I do miss all the things I was able to do in my 20s though. So many stories from my marine corps days, both here and abroad.

Lol but staring at the cheerleaders is decent....but shelling out 9 bucks a beer sucks (especially if you want to suck one down a quarter, thats 36 bucks half what I paid for my ticket! not mention parking....going to an NFL game and doing it right is pricey. Thats another thing I loved about baseball...we could throw down 10 bucks for a decent seat at Minute Maid (not a bad seat in the house in that tiny park) and sneak a flask of whiskey...BINGO. You got yourself one hell of a night! But in football there are only 8 home games a year so each of those games is a huge deal....in baseball you might have access to 8 home games in 9 days. It just isn't the same.

dude at Camden Yards, you can get a ticket on student night for $6 and you can move down and literally sit like 3 or 4 rows from the field anywhere you want.

I only got questioned one time and I pulled a George Costanza where he couldn't find the ticket stub..good times.

Still never caught a foul ball tho. I would literally break my hand for a foul ball, never even had the chance..Sooner or later I'll get my chance and I promise you I will convert

Lmao...I love that Seinfeld episode. But yeah, not to one up you but you can tix for 5 bucks in the upper concourse along the 3rd base line and sneak down as well....especially for the Stros, ever since 2005 when we went to the series you can do what ever the hell you want lmao

It is a huge difference going to A's games as oppose to Giants games price-wise up here in NorCal. Of course a lot of that is reflected in the level in talents on both teams by the bay.

San Fran's field looks amazing...from what I have seen it looks like the Giants, Pirates, and Astros have 3 of the best parks from what i have seen
