No direct link between deaths and vaccination.  Singapore suspension is only temporary as a precaution.  Singapore and South Korea can be expected to resume vaccination programs.  Fact is the flu is deadlier than the vaccine.  According to US center for disease control, influenza vaccine prevents millions of illnesses and thousands of deaths annually in the US.

Science can defeat this pandemic only if society works well enough to distribute vaccines quickly and equitahly.  However there are problems to overcome.  3 of 4 Americans need to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity.  But in the past decade, US has never manage to vaccinate more than half of all adults for influenza in any single year.  Masks are harmless for wearers but 40% of Americans refuse to wear masks daily according to Institute for health metrics.  Furthermore, states would need at least $6 billion for the largest vaccination campaign in US history.  So far, US center for disease control has just given $200 million to states for vaccination.  Much preparation is necessary but Trump's resistance to  Biden transition could cost thousands of lives.

Trump's vaccine summit is a sham without representatives from vaccine makers Pfizer and Moderna.  Earlier, his administration fails to order enough vaccines when given the opportunity.  Dubious whether his promise is enforceable to ensure Americans priority in vaccine shipments.    Countries that seek to vaccinate their population at the expense of everyone else are chasing a false promise.  Without equal distribution worldwide, coronavirus would continue to live on for years, bringing more infections and economic collapse.  Vaccine nationalism is doomed to fail.

Trump says the high number of Americans infected with coronavirus is terrific, claiming falsely that those cases serve as a powerful vaccine.  But most public health experts warn against trying to achieve natural herd immunity without vaccines.  World health organization condemns dangerous fallacy of allowing low risk population to live normal lives while the most vulnerable are protected.  This reckless approach in Sweden lead to lower economic recovery and higher death rates than in neighboring countries while failing to achieve much immunity.  Less mitigation to fight virus spread risks overwhelming hospitals.  Problem is that natural herd immunity is unsupported by scientific evidence.  It requires too much time and costs too much.  One estimate is 200 million infected and 2 million deaths in the US.  Vaccines are far safer and more effective in developing immunity.

In early stage, US may face months of vaccine shortages amid strong global demand according to Baylor college of medicine.  Bloomberg found 31 countries have reserved more vaccines per capita than the US.  According to Northwest university, less access to vaccines may result in more deaths and months of delay in economic recovery.  For a vaccine to be fully effective, at least 70% of population has to be vaccinated.  Otherwise the virus would continue to spread.  Until vaccines are widely available for most people, mitigation is still necessary.
