but what bothers me is the fact that you can't tell if the person (He) in the sentence--- "He leases (or rents) that house." --- is collecting money or paying money out..

this makes me laugh. about when my dumb ass signed on the dotted line to "purchase" a home.
the only ppl who buy homes are the ones who pay it off in full in cash..all else just simply make arrangements for a bank or two to buy a home for them while they pay them rent for the next 30 yrs...then finally its yours...
