Sir, I am sympathetic to your wife injuring herself but can you please explain how you intend to place blame on the airport for this? Did the paramedics identify the "wet spot" on the carpet as a mechanism of injury? Do you have other witnesses that can verify that your wife did plant her foot precisely in a slick area that caused her to lose balance?
Surely you must have the bare minimum to stand before a judge an make your claim. I personally give you 5000-1 odds without a medic and/or airport personel substantiating your story.
You have 4 posts in Covers, and to this point not one single word you have typed makes a whole lot of sense. Prepare for a barrage of incoming morter fire.

I am seeing a disconnect from people looking to prove "fault". There is no fault here it was an ACCIDENT. Kinda like if you are driving your car and swerve to miss a deer and slam into a tree. You are not going to go out and sue mother nature, but you would hope your car "accident" insurance is going to pay something.

So far in this post, I've been called a fucking leach, an ass hole, a
scum bag of society.....because I feel the need to protect my family.
Sorry some of you feel this way.
No offense, but that's what you get for posting something like that here. Happens all the time.

No joke. This is a rough crowd. You are better off asking your kids for advice.

dont worry., nature has a way of getting even better than anyone else can.
when your daughter is on her 3rd abortion and your son is in prison someday, because they learned personal responsibility from their parents, you'll see.

Maybe you could express this dislike rather than saying his kids are going to be in jail and have multiple abortions because of their parents litigating for HUGE paydays..

unless the airport was negligent you're unfortunately shit outta luck. however, if you have money to burn on legal fees find a good ambulance chasing attorney who'll pester the airport, the airline, and anyone else who he thinks will cough up some cash. the main thing is that the wife gets better.

Not true. Just like if you hire a person off the street to paint your house and he falls on the ladder and breaks his arm, guess who pays the bill unless he has general liability insurance -- you do.
Contact the customer service department of the airport. They will be able to fax you the form to fill out stating your claim. You will need physician notes with exact amount you are after and why. Usually have a year or two to file claim so can wait as needed to see if condition worsens.
General Liability Insurance.... every place has it so they can control costs.
For all we know the wet floor was from a leaky ceiling that the airport has neglected to fix for months....

As a CPA in a previous life, I used to audit Hawaiian Airlines....
I used to do audit legal claims, and let me tell you, although not the airport, the kind of stuff airlines have to settle is ridiculous.....and they DO NOT want to go to court...too much cost and bad pub......and besides; insurance usually covers it all...
Person forgets bag in overhead, goes back on plane hits his head on one of the overhead doors, which of course are all open because people got off.....Couple thousand......
Person's toe run over by coffe cart......couple thousand...
Baggage employee finger cut off $22,000.....i envisioned whole finger....i meet the plaintiff.....i swear it was more like 2 layers of skin missing from the tip of his index finger.....
Bag from overhead falls on head when other passenger opens compartment.....couple thousand.....
Just examples.....and yeah Hawaiian Airlines is pretty huge, but i can only image what United, Continental and Airports have to deal with.

I'm still very confused....I could see if there was a wet spot on a tile floor or something, but how in the world do you fall from WET CARPET??? I'm pretty sure I could pour 10 glasses of water on my carpet right now and it would not be the least bit slippery? Please explain how you slip on carpet?
