sorry you are wrong. All subways work under the same francise rules and must follow those rules. If subway is selling gift cards as subway gift cards, then all subways need to honor them.
The owner of this subway is not following the rules.
This is like buying a walmart card in new york and going to oregon to use it. They have to be honored.

just because they do those things does not mean they are allowed. My brother in law used to own a subway before he became a bigshot in a casino, this is how i know what am talking about. There was a lot of weird rules he had to follow.
The owner of the subway doding this, is putting his francise at risk.
You have to follow corporate rules if you want to own a francise, reason being they have to protect the brand name. You cant have guys using the subway name and doing whatever the hell they want.

I read a forum that I read every day and one of the members was upset that he could not redeem a Subway gift card that he intended to pay with. Is it customary that Subway advertises these cards but doesn't honor them? Sure, these businesses may be individually owned but a Subway is a Subway just like Sears is Sears. As a consumer I should be able to redeem the card at any outlet even if it is out of State, shouldn't I.
As an engineer i learned two things, the customer is always right and one bad customer will hurt your business - there will be no 'repeat and referral' business as he will negitively affect your business and potential customers will go else where, like myself and I don't even know the poster personally.

If the health department knew the a.c. was not working....they would have forced the owner to shut it down, until they fixed the air conditioner! Needless to say ... I quickly turned around a walked away! Nothing like having your sandwich made with sweaty meat and turned mayo!
