At one point I counted 38 1/2 plays in one day...the 1/2 was only cause I fell asleep in the middle of the thread

First of all - congrats on being the first to quit gambling this season. This might be a record. Week 1 of preseason. Congrats.

Secondly... You have a problem that a lot of people have and it is not gambling... You assume that your experience is the only experience. It is not you who has the problem, it is the subject matter that is the problem. Then you go on to make lots of projections about how if you cant do it, nobody can - and if it ruined your life, it must ruin everybodys.

Let me share a different perspective - gambling has given me a life I could have never dreamed about. A life without a cubicle, a boss, unlimited family time, unlimited vacation time - not to mention financial security. For 30 years. For life.

You have a lot of problems. Dont blame gambling. But never has it been more true than right in this post - nobody has a gambling problem, they only have a losing problem.

There is only one good reason for someone to ever place a wager on a sporting event. This reason has nothing to do with a so-called form of 'entertainment', or as a form of legitimate 'recreational activity'.

The sole reason should only be as a form of 'legitimate financial investment'.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

It takes a lot of courage to step away from something that has caused so much. Your message is a powerful reminder of how gambling can impact lives negatively, pulling people away from what truly matters. You become wiser now. It's inspiring that you're choosing to focus on healing and helping others. I hope your story reaches those who need to hear it and encourages them to seek a better path. There’s definitely a brighter future out there, and reaching out for help is a crucial step. Sending love and support to you and everyone who is on this journey.

I recommend everyone new to gambling to bet small as possible, do $1 bets. 95% of the public loses to sports betting. It's better to lose $1 than $1,000.

2 to 1 says you're gambling by the end of the month.

@truth77

If you made Millions like you say then your problem was not gambling as such because it seems you're good at it.

Your problem (like most amateur bettors) is you don`t have discipline and you don`t have strong money management skills. If you had bot of those tools you would have never lost the millions you say you made. I wish you much luck moving forward.
