Anybody watching CNN's coverage of the beached mother whale and calf in Miami?

The Calf was brought near the mother. The mother started violently thrashing around and then died. Calf in critical condition. Stay tuned for updates.

I just tuned in! All I see is healthcare coverage....how dare they. We have whales in Mami and dophins in Japan needing our "help"!!!!!!!!!

I haven't tasted dolphin meat, but if it's delicious, I fully support it.

I have the movie ordered on netflix when it comes out on dvd....I hope a few people taste test these things on the dvd so I can make a intelligent decision. Otherwise I have to fly to Japan for dinner and that can get expensive.

This issue is very complicated and there are many, many facets involved. It is the same issue up here with the annual seal hunt.

Just saw this movie vanzack, and I agree with you on most points.  I was absolutely blindsided.  They are basically just killing them to kill them to continue some stupid tradition.  They don't make money (hardly any off this meat) as you cannot really eat it without getting deathly ill.
 
No reason for all this hate, it is a subject worth everyones time.
