If Christ died on the cross for all of humanity
What are the chances that roses are red, my love, and whatever will be will be?

The problem atheists have is not understanding that existence can not happen by accident, there has to be a cause.
Prove it.

If you found a clock and examined the mechanism within it, you would probably think that this intricate mechanism was not the outcome of mere chance, that it had been designed.
Why irreducible complexity is wrong.
I know. Big words, right SJD?

Religious fanaticism is once again setting the stage for a major war as the Iranians seem hell bent on gaining nukes while telling the world they only want them peaceful reasons. The fanatical brand of Islam that we see today sweeping the world has it's birthplace in Iran as the Muslim clerics there have been in power for about 33 years. Their stated goal is the destruction of Israel while they dominate the Arabs in the region. Major decisions will be made in the coming months and years and this will determine if we will go to war or not. We must have faith that our leaders make the right decisions to avoid war if possible.

you don't pray to the cross! You pray to the ALMIGHTY ! Jesus Christ is a part of GOD as is the HOLY GHOST and the GODHEAD. that why they call it a trinity! the cross is just a symbol of remembrance.
3 gods = pagan
Stop saying they count as one. That's such a copout.

I'll just briefly give an explanation and provide a short illustration to make my point.
The most famous of all arguments for the existence of God are the "five ways" of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
One of the five ways, the fifth, is the argument from design and the other four are versions of the first-cause argument.
The argument is basically very simple, natural, intuitive, and commonsensical. It is based on an instinct of mind that we all share, the instinct that says everything needs an explanation.
Nothing just is without a reason why it is. Everything that is has some adequate or sufficient reason why it is. Philosophers call this the Principle of Sufficient Reason.
We use it every day, in common sense and in science as well as in philosophy and theology.
If we saw a rabbit suddenly appear on an empty table, we would not blandly say, "Hi, rabbit. You came from nowhere, didn't you?" No, we would look for a cause, assuming there has to be one.
Did the rabbit fall from the ceiling? Did a magician put it there when we weren't looking? If there seems to be no physical cause, we look for a psychological cause: perhaps someone hypnotized us. As a last resort, we look for a supernatural cause, a miracle.
But there must be some cause. We never deny the Principle of Sufficient Reason itself. No one believes the Pop Theory: that things just pop into existence for no reason at all.
Perhaps we will never find the cause, but there must be a cause for everything that comes into existence. ![]()
