But the difference between you and Matt was that Matt did make a post saying he was getting his material from his website but you denied that your material comes from a website and you had challenged me to find a website that proves you are getting your material from them...well sir, I found a website and it appears what you wrote above is not your own material but a word for word copy of someone elses work...shame!...shame! I tell ya, it's hard to find honest, ethical people but hey I'm not at all surprised. Below is the link to the website.

Firstly, it was I who was falsely accused of plagiarizing.

Secondly, there are links in his post that immediately tells you where it came from.

General question: How come god wrote the New Testament? What was wrong with the Old Testament? Why would god, an all perfect god, write a book that was so wrong that he needed to write an entirely new one to revise his mistakes?

Thanks man! I really appreciate your kind words, it means a lot.

I clearly admit that I don't have all the answers, nor can we as believers ever have all the answers.

There are just some questions about God that we will never have an answer to and I think He wants it that way.

Also, some answers just aren't meant to be questioned and some questions just aren't meant to be answered.

All in all though the mysteries of life and the mysteries of God are worth seeking and I am glad to personally know the One who IS the ANSWER!!!

If prayer worked, it would work at a much higher % than it does, you know, % of times a prayer comes true is about the same amount of times coincidences occur...hmm...coincidence? i think not.

Prayer Works...

Smith Wigglesworth 1859-1947...Smith would pray and the blind would see, and the deaf were healed, people came out of wheelchairs, and cancers were destroyed.

One remarkable story is when He prayed for a woman in a hospital.

While he and a friend were praying she died. He took her out of the bed stood her against the wall and said "in the name of Jesus I rebuke this death". Her whole body began to tremble.

The he said "in the name of Jesus walk", and she walked. Everywhere he would go he would teach and then show the power of God. He began to receive requests from all over the world. He taught in Europe, Asia, New Zealand and many other areas. When the crowds became very large he began a "wholesale healing". He would have everyone who needed healing lay hands on themselves and then he would pray. Hundreds would be healed at one time.

Over Smith's ministry it was confirmed that 14 people were raised from the dead.

Thousands were saved and healed and he impacted whole continents for Christ. Smith died on March 12, 1947 at the funeral of his dear friend Wilf Richardson. His ministry was based on four principles:" First, read the Word of God. Second, consume the Word of God until it consumes you. Third believe the Word of God. Fourth, act on the Word."

John G. Lake 1870-1935...Over a five year period in South Africa Lake saw 1,000,000 converts, planted hundreds of churches, and raised up over 1000 local ministers. 

In 1913 Lake returned to the United States, with his seven children.

Once he returned to the United States, he began a traveling ministry.

One of the places he was asked to speak was Spokane, Washington. 

He was asked to start a healings room, and he agreed.

Over an approximately five year period, over 100,000 healings were reported. Spokane was declared "the healthiest city in the United States".

There are many reasons.

I will just list some...

The writings of the disciples were not a part of the New Testament Scriptures when they were written. 

But, again they were just letters! The writers weren't trying to write a book based on their beliefs,to be put into the canon of scripture.

They wrote down what they witnessed and put it into a letter.

They did this for many reasons, but just to cite a few.

They wrote these letters to testify to the truths of Christ, to encouarage, to instruct, to correct, to rebuke and to train in righteousness.

Their writings, in most cases were directed to either an individual or to entire Church or city.

Also, the disciples had nothing to gain by writing the accounts of Jesus and everything to lose, including for most...their lives!

All the writings didn't even become part of what we know as the bible today until many years later.


Also, The New Testament is the Word of God and is a continuation of the Old Testament, (which the NT calls the Word of God).  And it is upon this fact that the truth of progressive revelation is built.


The New Testament points forward to Jesus and the that Old Testament points back to Jesus.


The New Testament is needed to help interpret the Old Testament.


Another reason would be that the the early church expected Jesus Christ to return soon, and this undoubtedly delayed the apostles' writing.

But as time progressed and He did not return, so the need arose to have a written record of Jesus' life and teaching and the history of redemption.

It was inevitable that the apostles would die, and with time the authority of the their teachings would be questioned and subject to being treated as legends and myths.

Because of this, which would surely result in doctrine issues, the need for an authoritative written Word was needed.

I see prayers answered in my life all the time.

And throughout many years of being a part of a Church group, we saw countless prayers answered, with many being ones that we had been praying for as a group week after week!

The one pastor years ago, at this one Church that I was a part of at that time, used to take a segment of time each week, just to give people the time to talk about how God answered their prayers during that week!

But if they were to REALLY read that scripture and keep in context, the Bible clearly includes in that list ALL that are sexually immoral (which would include sex before marriage or adultery), thieves, those that are GREEDY, those that habitually get drunk and those that slander other people!!! (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

That doesn't change the fact that bible says homosexuality is a sin, when it is in reality, NOT a sin, but merely a personal choice.

The Bible actually is very strict and sensitive when it comes to sexual sin.

Actually any type of sexual act that is outside of marriage is forbidden.

And Jesus took it even a step further than the Old Testament and said in Matthew 5:27-30

   27 “You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.

 28 But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 

29 So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your hand—even your stronger hand—causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
