A reporter just asked what Christie's plans were for the children of the state on Halloween if this is a truly damaging storm...

Christie warned that the combination of downed power lines and the dead leaves that could be hiding them could pose a risk to Trick-or-Treaters (yes, he said that).

Your funny scalabrine but I LOVE Christie. I think he is the best governor we have ever had in my life. He tells it like it is and doesnt pull punches. The kind of guy who says stay the hell of the beaches is my type of guy.

I'm in Baltimore.  Most of the stores got cleaned out Friday.  All of the schools are closed for the next 2 days.  Last year when Irene hit, we didn't lose electricity or even cable.  Some places outside the city lost power for a week, but we were all good here.  I do think there is a certain amount of fear mongering going on, but who knows.  Better safe than sorry.  I stocked up on food, water, and beer.

Won't arrive here until Tuesday more than likely...supposedly getting high winds and some rain, nothing too crazy though.  Living in the sticks of New Hampshire, it takes a lot to get us riled up

Here in CT most schools have already announced closings for Monday and Tuesday.  Highest concerns seem to be with Tidal Flooding.  Long Island Sound can get backed up with water pushing westward towards New York City and causing huge problems for the Big Apple.

The problem with this Hurricane is it's so big size-wise.  If you loose your electric power early, the power crews won't be able to work until the high winds subside.  That could take a couple days.

DE, southern PA and MD are going to get pounded with water.  A small section of WV and VA in the mountains could get a couple feet of snow.

Its saying on the news here in SW pa (hr N of pitt) we're supposed to get like six inches some time this week. So far its just been low 40s and rain. It shows rain this whole week. It was just 80 degrees friday now in the 40s.

Im shitting my pants, Im in the northeast corner of Maryland and the eye is supposed to pass right over Wilmington DE.  Last year we didn't lose power or anything but I'm not optomistic about this storm.   There's already flooding in parts of MD

live 0.2 miles from the ocean in CT and everything is flooded so far. Water up to mid calf.

Winds are starting to pick up and this flooding is happening during low tide. Tonight is going to be very very bad with the high tide and full moon.

Not sure if I am going to evacuate yet or not. Seeing how far up the road the water comes. Once its within 100-200 yards of my house I will get out. Already packed up and everyhing but not I was not heeding the mandatory evacuation warning when the storm didnt even hit yet (had police knocking on my door at 830 AM yesterday)

Here in Connecticut things haven't gotten too bad yet up in North Central area.  The worst isn't supposed to come through until the evening.  My work was cancelled mainly due to Governor Malloy closing down the highways.  We are on the Eastern side of the storm expecting to experience more wind than rain.

Watching CNN... some are saying there will be as many 15-20 million without power. 

Sandy is gonna fuck some shit up.  God Speed to everyone and good luck.  We'll need it.
