Seriously, there has to be a substantial (actually huge) population of people who do not win in the long term for the gambling industry to survive.
If 95% of all the denizens of Covers would look at their losses versus their winnings, and were honest with themselves, they would realize that in the long term they are extremely fortunate to break even.
Go ahead and bash and tell me how much you've profitted from your gambling last year. And then come back and tell me next year how much you lost this year.
Been betting since I got out of graduate school in '76 (very few on here are card carrying AARP members....but just wait....you will be there before you know it).
Taken a number of extravagant vacations on the proceeds from the good years,,,,,, stayed at the more modest accomadations in the bad years.
I salute those that do well.......I commiserate with those that plug away but are in the middle of the bell curve.

Don't ever watch a bet if it bothers you. Stuff happens at the beginning and end, just cause it happens last shouldn't make more important. Final score/outcome all that matters.
