The war on terror was never a bad thing, The dumb decision to invade Iraq instead of waiting patiently for a year or two to make a move on Iran was the dumb idea.

Okay, I'll start her up. It's time to get the phuck out of Afghanistan. This will never stop no matter how many of them we kill. Never.

It is out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it.

If I don't look at how much money has been spent I'm ok with it.

Anyone with a high school education can make a bomb. I'm actually surprised this sort of stuff doesn't happen more often. It can never fully be stopped from happening.

    Agree, very stupid.

We cannot change beliefs or the way these people live their lives. We can try to understand them and takes steps to befriend them. Otherwise the killing will just go on and on and. Moms, dads kids, babies grandparents are all in the kill zone.

Pick a market anywhere and these people will blow the chit out of it.  They'll win everytime.

War of terror prevented incidences like this being common place in America after 9/11.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, we don't even know if this is domestic or international terrorism yet.

The United States was formed on the foundation of terrorism.  When British families drank their tea and talked about the colonies do you think they approved? Thought we were cowardice terrorists.

Terrorism is a term that is all about the point of reference. Losing side makes you a terrorist...winning side makes you a patriot. From the U.S. side its easy to consider these acts as terrorism.  But lets face it....the United States is no saint when it comes to treatment of people. We have occupied many nations and done a lot of unsavory things to people.

The stuff that happened down at Guantanamo was nothing more than torture.  The line we as Americans were fed was this was a war on terror and better to abuse peoples rights in order to stop a second 9/11.  But I am sorry it was wrong.

Anytime Americans are wronged overseas or attacked we want vengeance. Is it hard to believe that other nations want it on us for things we have done?

If the United States wants to win the war on terrorism... maybe its time to think about the Monroe doctrine

    Worst poster on covers.

Wouldn't expect you to comprehend a complex thought Train.... suspect the toughest decision you make everyday is deciding on whether to wear your Scooby doo or smurfs pajamas to bed.

You cant have a war on a theory or possibility. It wont work because it cant.

The idea behind terrorism is to strike when one is not suspecting, thus making you constantly worried. Thats how they win....creating "terror". The efforts overseas and all the "homeland security" simply can not prevent this type of thing. Too much area to cover and too many people to watch.

We should have nuked Iraq/Iran in 1991. We should nuke North Korea now.

The war on terror is a front, that we the American public bought as a reason to invade countries for natural resources that we couldn't control otherwise.

    Yep.

Obama needs to get a good night of rest, allow his emotions to calm and make the decision to begin immediate withdrawl from the region. It's over and it's done. Revenge? Great but be prepared to dig more graves.USA has killed tens of thousands of innocents.

It shouldn't be called the war on terror.

It should be called the war on extremist or fundamentalist Islam as an ideology. I support that effort wholeheartedly.

The "war on terror" is the same level of propaganda that Americans went through during the red scare and cold war.  The idea that communism was bad is something that was pounded into minds for most of the last 100 years. Is it true? Not at all

The terrorists represent a fundamental sect of the Islam faith. To penalize the whole would be like labeling all Christians fanatics because of David Koresh's behavior.

Americans need to understand that the rest of the world just wants to be left alone. This desire to force feed our beliefs or ideals down others throats needs to stop. We have enough of our own issues to deal with.... and who are we to be telling other nations what to do.

I respect your definition of this war Kap as it's exactly what you describe. But how in the hell can anything be done? This ídeology is rampant throughout the middle east.

The North Vietnamese had an ideology and carried their war effort and tactics in a similar way.(succesfully I might add). It didn't go well. If we continue this course I think the body count will reach overwhelming numbers.

    Don't support any of it.

Thats the thing we can't stop now. We can't retreat back into being isolationist our economy depends on it. I'm not completely sold that we are in the Middle East purely because of the oil. I think it's more to have a presence there in case Iran gets froggy.

If you think the "war on terror" is or ever was perpetrated for your safety, then just do us all a favor and blow your brains out.

This was just a defense/oil industry cash cow to win Bush a 2nd presidency. This has truly been a dark age. Major media outlet have been corrupted into state propaganda disseminators. This is not my opinion. Rupert Murdoch said so himself.

I love the idiots that are still trying to justify their own ignorance and stupidity on the matter.

"Well Saddam was a bad guy"

"There were links between Saddam and Al Queda.....:"

You don't see China going to war everywhere - instead they invest and make business all over the planet from Australia to the freaking North Pole.
It's projected that China will have the biggest economy in the world by 2016.
Soon you will see Chinese sweat shops in California

Different ways to secure ressources - I think the Chinese method is the smartest.
Stop finding enemies and start making money.
