Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman ![]()
I was glued to the TV watching that stuff. Loved it.
But here’s the main point that
I’ve been grappling with this morning after reading the re-confirmation reports: if we as humans can only “measure”
something based on our observation of that, isn’t the fact that the speed of
light controls how FAST that information may get to us (in the form of sight or
interpretation) make it so that even if something DID move faster than the
speed of light, because the light would take a little bit longer to get to us
for measurement, that we wouldn’t know that the thing was actually going FASTER
than the light it gave off that we can observe? I mean back when Einstein came
up with the universal speed limit at the speed of light, he had much cruder
measuring/observational ability, didn’t he? So if he was theorizing this, of
course he would think that is the speed limit because even if something was
faster than the speed of light, we would never observe it until the light
reached our eyes?

The earth is flat, fuckers. see here: https://www.alaska.net/~clund/e_djublonskopf/Flatearthsociety.htm

Sorry if that makes no sense… still not sure I quite have it worked out internally yet.
Good stuff in this thread kap
. I missed it the first go-around, glad you bumped with the latest update. I don't have much background in it, but I've always found this stuff interesting and wish I understood it a bit better.
With that being said, (and I don't doubt your thought process at all, just a bit over my head) I read and re-read this post 5 times, and all I can say is it makes my head hurt![]()
