you cannot use anything mentioned in the bible as we have now established that is both non-scientific and confounding.

the burden of the proof is on your shoulders here. you cannot turn around and ask me to prove there is no omniscient being. you are the one making the claim that there is. Just like the invisible kangaroos, i dont want to hear "well you cant prove they are not there"

stop viewing the russell's teapot argument as a discussion about tea kettles. it has nothing to do with the object, the argument is but a metaphor.

choose your words carefully, because im not going to spend all day arguing with you. if you continue to suggest we are talking about tea kettles, im done with this thread

 The word science is essentially synonymous with knowledge, and is so used in Scripture. The first mention of knowledge in the Bible, in Genesis 2:9, is in connection with the "tree of knowledge." One might paraphrase by saying that God warned man against partaking of the "tree of science." Another one that is a fact that some of you can laugh at...There are many Christian "Scientists" that believe in a great deal of what Darwin said of evolution. I did not say all but some. 

And if you dont think the Bible is an accurate timeline of history you need to do some research. Oh wait you dont need research you know everything. I feel bad for those around you if this is truly the case. Being close minded is as bad as being judgmental and worse than being a complete idiot.

Lets do this one by one. The CUMALATIVE arguments will show the Christian God.

The first argument is prove naturalism false.

1. The latest cosmological studies shows that the universe began to exist.When the universe began to exist, space, time and matter began to exist. All things that begin to exist (under naturalism) have a cause. The cause of the universe must be outside of time, outside of space and must be immaterial.

However, under naturalism, there isnt anything that is spaceless, timeless and immaterial. Yet, spece ,time and matter began to exist from the big bang. All things that began to exist have a cause, this cause must be spaceless, timeless and immaterial..

Remember, this argument is to show naturalism is false...Not the Christian God. After all arguments , it will show the Christian God..

If anyone else is going to reply, reply to the argument....

avoiding my argument and calling me names will prove that you have conceeded, and the name calling shows that you are angry...

Translation: The crux of Rostos' argument is that some level of existence must exist beyond this world, with different rules, in order to have created this world.

I'm curious to see how others respond to this notion. Rostos and I have nothing left to debate so I leave the task to the rest of you. Good luck.

first off, I tried my absolute hardest to keep the thread on topic of space and science, but your string of posts quickly eroded the entire thread. Dont try and act like im the one who came into this thread and started calling people out on things. I tried to discuss and clarify the posts of a few other guys who were interested in the topic subject. YOU are the one that came in here and moved the thread from 2 pages to 5+. 
 

i asked you to prove that there is a higher power. if im reading your latest argument right, you still havent proved anything to me.

 why does the universe's beginning have to be the work of an outside force?

 How can you prove that an outside force acted to cause the big bang?

 why cant the force be explained by something under naturalism? why MUST it be supernatural? just because we dont have an answer YET, does not mean that it must be caused by something from beyond this world.

we dont know anything for certain and in the time prior to the big bang, we know literally nothing. how can just you assume space, time and matter did not exist?

This is the bottom line.

If the Christian god was legitimate, it would care not about whether or not one was a true believer. It would be concerned about the sum of ones actions and if they behaved righteously.

The idea that one can do anything as long as they repent and accept god is laughable. This person gets a pass to heaven, while a life-long do-gooder that does not believe goes to hell?

who says the universe was created? maybe it just is and always has been.

 the rapid expansion of a mass object into what we now know of the universe does not necessarily mean that there was nothing before. the vast vacuum of space itself may have always existed. 

the universe is expanding and cooling. The big bang may have caused the objects to pepper into the expanse of space, however that does not disprove that the space, and time never existed prior to the explosion

Where does the bible GUARANTEE free passes to heavan?

Where does the bible state that you can do what you want and you will go to heavan.

By this answer, it is very clear that you havent kept upto date with the latest scientific knowledge and discoveries...Specifically Einsteins theory of relativity, and the Vilenkin model.

Taking that into consideration, to show that youa re asking why the universe cant create itself out of nothing shows that you are breaking conservation and causality laws...

Without being rude, you need to do some homework first.....

Einstein's theory of relativity has certainly held up quite well, and could very well be true. It would render "time" as non existent prior to the big bang. Youre correct in that part of my previous argument is incorrect, from the perspective of our current understanding of space and time. im trying to get you to explain why to me, by posing why not situations... 

i barely understood what you are trying to say with all this supernatural and naturalist stuff that i figured i could pretty much say anything. your arguments have been vague at best, but your rebuttals of anything anyone else writes are very concise and driven by one single point they bring up

 Im asking you to prove something, but you want to take small shots at pieces of my arguments. thats fine again. the purpose of my previous post was to get you to answer one question, but you peck away at everything else. so ignore everything above this line, and just answer the question below it

Cosmology has shown that the universe is not infinite in the past. You need to keep upto date with these things if you are going to argue.

Science has shown that the universe is not eternal, in fact, it began to exist. When it began to exist, space, time and matter began to exist.

How did these spring into action? Remember, the key here is, everything that begins to exist, has a cause...I exist and you exist because of my parents and your parents, your house exists because of the bricks, cement etc etc...everything that begins to exist has a cause..

The fact that space, time and matter began to exist (these are all the elements in our universe) indicates that, at one point , they never existed...

Now, do you believe that at one point, there was nothing, ie, the absence of anything, the thing rocks dream of, then all of a sudden there was an explosion which created space time and matter from NOTHING?
