Going to Vegas to Get Married... Ever Do IT or Know Anyone?

Why the hell not. Been Living with a girl for years.
Staying at Bellagio in late February for 5 days and I
was thinking about doing the "Elope" thing.
I think it is ridiculous to spend 10's of Thousand on a weddding
ceremony and social formailities never been my forte.
(As it is her wedding ring will cost me upwards of 15K, ouch!)
Anyway, Bellagio has some nice packages but it looks ridiculuosly $$$$$$ to include all the crap I don't want to spend $$$$$$ on in the first place
Anyway, where is best place in Vegas that is not TOTALLY CHEESY to get married. MY girl says it would be more romantic there than my local metro courthouse (which is true).

Anyway, anyone have any ideas??

Good luck, I would make it simple and maybe do a his and hers day at the spa and shit like that.

I would also recommend devoting one day for a nice drive to the Canyon.  I love that drive very comforting and quiet.

I had a friend get married in June out in Vegas at the Bahai Temple ... he told me about this in early May and I had never met the gal.. they had been dating apparently for 1 year .. I've known the guy 21 years.. I didn't go and now 6 months later he is having issues with the gal..

but if you love the gal go for it .. it's your life ..

I have crunched numbers on this.

The current divorce rate in the UNITED STATES is 67 percent.  You have 33 percent success rate with marriages occuring after 1990.  That, along with the fact that you may average around 60K in salary tells me (given the current economic situation) that the woman will eventually demand a higher salary and may trade you in.  Taking that into consideration, you have about 23 percent success rate at marriage in the United States.  I guess my question to you is, are you feeling lucky, punk.

She is not american! 100% russian and not a gold digging russian either. When she asked me to get married I blew her off for a few years and said only if we have a prenuptial which she agreed to without a blink of the eye (I have more assets). Lived with her for 7 years and works a job and we have a business together which we do on the side. She and cooks great and devoted. I was once engaged to an american girl. Biggest mistake! thank gosh I broke it off! This one is a keeper i do believe. Look in the end it's all a crap shoot anyway guys, get a SOLID FUCKING PRENUP AND IN MY STATE THEY HOLD UP STRONG (FL). Thanks Keaton - made me feel better.  I was in the same situation, same age as your friend - dating a girl who was about 10 year younger than me.  I always felt uncomfortable about it though she never was.  I broke up with her a few times and she always came back.  One time she didnt and ive have regretted it since.  I broke up with her for the same reason you mentioned about her "wanting to have fun with her friends".  I assumed that would eventually happen as when it came to anything outside of just me and her we were always on different pages.
