You couldn't just leave the song alone huh? You had to know it would set off a thread with people going at it.
Anyways, if you don't like the song hit the rest room during the 7th inning stretch. It's a good way to beat the lines anyway. If not then please stand and politely remove your cap if you will.
I fucking hate Alanis Morrisette, but I'm not going to shit all over Canada because of it.
Along with Celine Dion

How anyone could say that the russians were not needed is hilarious!!! Completely ignorant statement. I understand RMA your feelings of the WEST and I as well like to think we were the sole reasons but not so. Every country did its part.
Britain-Held on as the only little Island VS. the big nazi machine. French folded in a week and during this time where was your beloved US? Oh ya being lttle bitches and sending over money, ammo and machinery. Taking three years to enter and the sole reason being Pearl Harbour? Wow quite a different USA today that takes charge and is over barring compared to one that sits back and waits.
USA-Came in and dramatically helped with bombing, technology and men (ps. your marines were known as a joke overall and you did carry the dumbest troops lol) However, you guys were great the war could NOT have been won or finished anytime soon without you.
Russia-Took up Hitler's army when they easily could have moved to the western front. Question for you RMA......If the russian weren't there and wage war on the eastern front and the nazi's took over britain's island (no question they would have), where exactly would the USA fight them from? The sea? The U-boats were dominating! The Nazi's would have had all of Europe. Maybe they could attack from Africa? Don't know but there is no way the could rely on a cross ocean battle with no station set up. USA most likely would have declared peace with Germany had they beaten UK and Russia. Would have been North America or you guys take us over in Canada and Germany owning all of Europe.
This is exactly why America can't win in the eyes of the world. I'm off the opinion of not fighting anyone until pervoked. But because we waited til Pearl Harbor was bombed were of the opinion that we are pussies.
These days were much more proactive in the approach of national defense and were criticized for sticking our noses into other countries affairs. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Personally I wish we would pull out of all the countries we currently occupy or are at war with. But when some douche bag warlord or leader starts up with some genocide or decides to invade his neighbor the world will once again look to America to come and rescue some people.
I don't see them looking to Canada or Germany or Sweden.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Sorry K-Train have to say that is wrong. While I totally agree with what you are saying about the States looking bad in either case, the second world war was a must. People are being murdered and genocide is taking place on a grand scheme and no entry? Allt he top countries in the world that believed they were good entered. So weird the States stayed out! That is why I call out the States in this war. It took the good of many countries to come together to stop this evil and there should not have been any country that felt it belonged on the good side of the planet to not ante up. Fucking pussies! Now I'm not saying so much the people as we all know your prez wanted in and was constantly voted out by the house. Just poor government at the time i guess.
I totally agree with your point in a wars such as Korea, Vietnam, Kosovo, Iraq, etc. I understand people are being killed and things are pretty rough however in a World War the USA was needed and perhaps maybe never would have entered at all if not for Pearl Harbour. I'm almost inclined to say thanks japs, for doing that, because you brought a whole new machine (usa) into the war. I look at those that perished on Dec. 6-7 whatever it was, might have saved millions in the grand scheme of things. Harbour was needed as were the Americans.
But to say the damned if you do and damned if you don't does apply to today. You guys get a lot of tough press and mostly not deserved. It would be nice to see you guys pull out everywhere!

I'd say the Vietnam and Korea wars were idealistic compared to the one in Iraq. Fighting against Communism was noble - killing 100.000 for oil is not. Had the US concentrated on Afghanistan they'd have had 100% supoort from the rest of the free world. Remember the support after 9/11 from all over the world. Now you have resistance against this war in countries who are allies.

Yeah Nam and Korea are borderline. I still can't totally endorse wars against communism. I love being free and in a democratic country but who am I to say that people are not happy or communism can't work. Certainly not worth losing countless thousands of my young men in Nam while not even fighting with the actually enemy (russia)
Agree with you on the middle east points. This coming from one who served in Afghan lol. We did good things there. Iraq I have very little knowledge of from the front lines as Canada never went.

He had his full resources, he did not open a Russia front until his declaration of war on Russia 22 June 1941
Britain declared war on Germany Sept 3 1939.
____________________
Hitler had been preparing for a war with Russia for plenty of time. He didn't jsut show up on June 1941 on the Eastern front and say "let's go."
Look at how long it took the allies to plan the invasion of Normandy.
Hitler flat out admitted he gave up the war on Britain because he wanted to crush Russian. He thought if he blazed through the Soviet Union, Britain would give him favorable terms. He hated the Soviets way more and it wasn't close.

So they play this song during the 7th inning stretch of every baseball game?.
Whenever I hear that song, I want to throw up. Why would GOD Bless America. One of the most evil and hypocritical Nations on the planet. The way America treats other nations and people and God should Bless it...hilarious.
more quotes like this and we move our border a couple of hundred miles north, take anything worth having from you idiots and you'll be singing that song faster than kroger posts an anti obama rant....

According to Andrew Nagorski (2007; The Greatest Battle) Adolf Hitler had declared his intention to hit the USSR on 11 August 1939 to Carl Jacob Burckhardt, League of Nations Commissioner by saying, "Everything I undertake is directed against the Russians."
________
Goering also F-d the whole thing up by underestimating Britain's forces. He said he would have the skies clear over Britain "in four days of good weather."
I have not said the war could have been won without the US. You indicated Russia was not necessary (which you asked me to point out....which I did....and you have since ignored) to which I completely disagree.
Britain was an afterthought after the initial campaign failed.
The Russian front was responsible for 95% of German casualties from 1941-1944. Yeah, Russia wasn't necessary.
Hitler was never going to jeopardize his ability to attack the east by devoting more resources to the west. He gave up.

People in France still thank American tourists for the liberation. I get that. Russia just took their own land back for the most part....but also chewed up the VAST MAJORITY of the German war machine.

get a grip Russia was not needed. Period.
Hitler forces were already fighting 3 fronts regardless of Russian front. The US, UK/Commonwealth Forces, Free French, Free Polish were moving up Italy. The Balkan front Hitler was fighting the Yougoslavs, The Normandy landings. 3 Fronts.
The forces against Hitler were unstoppable, once the US entered with the industrial, monetary and man power there was only one conclusion. UK,Australia,NZ,Canada,India and others. Hitler was destroyed no air power, no oil no infrastructure, little will to fight the west. They fought fanatacally against the Russian front due to the atrocities that Russia was carrying out on occupied populations. US entering the war won it. Nothing to do with Russia. The A bomb was almost there and Germany was broken, French, Holland everywhere resistance and sabottage in Germany occupied Europe.

Normandy, Italy, Balkans chewed it up. US bombing chewed it up. Russia advanced because the US fed, and armed and paid the Red Army and cleared the bloody skies so it could advance, we did not need that cancer called the Red Army.

British India (including the areas and peoples covered by the later Republic of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Burma) and territories controlled by the Colonial Office, namely the Crown Colonies, were controlled politically by the UK and therefore also entered hostilities with Britain's declaration of war. British India contributed about 2,500,000 personnel
It suffered 1,500,000 civilian casualties (more than the United Kingdom), mainly from the Bengal famine of 1943 caused by the fall of Burma to the Japanese and the transfer of food to the war effort, and 87,000 military casualties (more than any Crown colony but fewer than the United Kingdom). The UK suffered 382,000 military casualties
The resourse of man power from India was enormous.
during the Second World War the Indian Army would become the largest all-volunteer force in history, rising to over 2.5 million men in size. If conscription became neccessary then it could have been more than 20 million

On a sidenote is that Robyn the singer? Ewww what ever happened to that girl lol. She had a few hits here then gone like the wind...
Yes. She's very active. She released 3 albums last year. One of the few singers today who can actually sing (seen and talked to her many times): www.youtube.com/watch?v=J294A-R1Cjk&feature She's not attractive to me but she had a great voice and makes good music.
On topic: This has to be some serious trolling.

This one is better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_T4uLB-wzYk
She's way better than Britney, Rihanna, Katie Perry etc. who can't sing live. Britney doesn't even sing - lipsinging all the way through her concert in Stockholm. She was made a complete joke.
