And you continue with the insults..

Reminds me of a tactic used here regularly.

You generalized what I said and made it personal. I didnt make anything personal. If you take offense that the institution of religion is based off people being afraid of sin and the afterlife, that is your choice.

Fear is a strong catalyst, it works and religions know that. I can tell by your replies that you also know that.

A person might be called Robert, Robbie, Bob or even Bobby, depending on a number of factors, doesnt mean they are DIFFERENT people, rather, the same person, just called differently based on a number fo factors...

[/QuoteI am not insulting you just these ridiculous comments. You keep beating around the bush about generalization but earlier it was me that got accused of that. Religion does not know anything about fear. I can guarantee that. Like I said in some of my comments with club I despise those that use fear and religion to make money. I can agree but your generalization is false and wrong. People may use fear but religion does not. The problem is you also cant own up to mistakes and admit that you may have misspoke. Thats the truth. And peole like you that generalize like this do nothing good with your judgement of others

Mate, i am just saying. My brother in law is Italian.

His mother calls him Roberto, His brothers call him Robert, I call him Bob, his girlfriend calls him Bobby.

He gets called many DIFFERENT names based on culture, preference and other factors, but he is still THE SAME BEING... Because he gets called different names, doesnt mean he is a different being to each person.

So what if through the history of humanity if man has applied different names to God. Through the ages there has been many different cultures, etc etc. They keep on applying different names for cultural significance and relevance. Thats all it is, and man also applied different names to God for personal gain.

i said i'd cut back but there is just too much material to eliminate this thread altogether.  besides, Church of ClubDirt members expect it.

pastor goes to newtown to help comfort the families.  and then has to apologize for it.  why would he apologize?  see the title to this thread.

brother system, i knew you'd like this one.  can you imagine a pastor going to newtown to try and give comfort to the families of the shooting victims and having to apologize for it?   that's a special kind of crazy and warped hatred.  it's truly amazing.

Fear is a strong catalyst, it works and religions know that. I can tell by your replies that you also know that.

as many people know, we at the Church of ClubDirt are fans of former nfl player tim tebow.  but he can't catch a break from these guys.  i guess hate pays, at least it pays for a $130 million church complex.  just as jesus would have wanted.

i guarantee our members that if tebow turns down an invitation to speak at the next Church of ClubDirt assembly, we will not respond this way.

apparently, some of the funds we have raised have been diverted to marijuana purchases, but that's ok, it's gone to a good cause.  that will, however, delay the purchase of a proper facility for our mission for some time.

i have a feeling timmy is going to have a lot more free time for speaking engagements in the near future.

What a predatory cash-cow person that Jim Jeffries must be for chastizing the exalted one. We will build the "church" and he shall come. The great Tweebs that is.

If you see Jim Jeffries in the streets, kick him in the teeth.

As for the newest pastor, he sure had himself a good gig. Sounds like this guy had several properties, summer homes, etc.... He a good feeder-system of 17 old virgins too. garbage this guy was living the Muslim dream.

rostos, i think that's using your brain.  in my professional, life, i have to judge people, statements, situations all of the time.  i can't go through the day with my brain turned off and foxnews turned on or i might as well dig ditches for a living.

same goes for my personal life, especially with kids.  you have to be thinking, assessing, judging to maximize your effectiveness as a productive and effective person in society.  whoever says don't judge is either lying or is just completely checking out of intellectual and responsible society.  don't let the bible put you in either group.
