Fans who say "we" and wear jerseys- I don't like them.

What I can't stand are the people wearing jerseys with players that have been traded or retired. I went to the Stanley Cup playoff and saw a Jagr, Straka, Probert & Yzerman jersey. WTF

I feed Cisco Systems in Atlanta.....60% of the engineers went to Georgia Tech....about 10% went to Virginia Tech.......with the exception of Alan Ecker (ALL AMERICAN in 57 & 58 @ GT... i believe) who is one of the Sr Vice Presidents.....and NEVER wears any t shirts...the rest of these nerds (about 600 or so) are always saying "we"....i played baseball for Kansas, in the mid 60's.....I HAVE NEVER WORE A JERSEY OF ANY TEAM!!

I don't mind somebody wearing jerseys, the ones I don't like have the names of their favorite players on the back. I just think it sends a message that you are somehow less than your favorite athlete. That is definitely not true.....

alot of different opinions in this thread, I can honestly say jerseys don't make me mad, I just think it looks foolish, I have never owned a jersey of any sort, just my personal opinion, I really can't imagine wearing one

Fans outlive coaches and players. Maybe they're more entitled to say "we" about their team?

The world would be a better place if everyone no matter what sport you like would wear Dallas Cowboys jerseys.   Wearing an America's Team jersey would brighten up your life and give you a positive attitude for the rest of your days.   Wearing any Dallas Cowboy jersey will make you a successful person and a credit to the humane race.

That is more of my feeling then really getting pissed off. It does look kind of foolish- especially Cowboy jerseys

As A kid growing up , I wore Jerseys and Hats.. then I found POlo and Izod shirts and never again..
 
I've had the good fortune to meet a great many athletes and I don't jock sniff because a few friends from HS later played in the NBA .. they said to just treat me like a regular guy..
 
I've also worked for 2 NBA teams .. it's not a big deal to me but I understand if it is to other people..

i dont use the term 'we' when i talk about my fav teams, but i love wearing basketball or even football jerseys. They look good, i like playing basketball in them, and it is a great way to support your fav player or your fav team....

Come into the light my son.  We have a big new shiny stadium and a bigger band wagon to seat new followers.   So tell all your friends and family to get on board cause this train " The Americas Team Dallas Cowboys train"   is leaving the station September 13 in Tampa Bay and were not getting of until our Super Bowl victory at seasons end.

Ya- don't like babies or dogs at all but got no problem with nice clouds. Not miserable either- pretty happy with my life overall.

You seem to have some anger, though- good thing we have this thread so you don't take out your frustrations on your kid or dog.

Nothing wrong with wearing professional jerseys and saying "we" for pro teams...

The thing that gets me is people that wear jerseys and say we for college sports when they never attended the college...

I live in Oregon and there are tons of "Duck Fans" who never went to U of O...  They say "we", they wear the hats, jerseys, sweats, license plates, flags, etc...

Most of it I think is that they assume that because they live in Oregon that they then are a part of the University of Oregon... Alot of these people jump on the band wagon because they typically outperform Oregon State in most sports and cheer for a winner in a "civil war" game...

But then again, what do you expect from the Uneducated masses of america?

Thinking possibly he's an American like myself, I approached the guy and asked him a few questions. The guy is like clueless and hardly spoke any coherent english, let alone know what he's wearing. LOL
 
 
 


I would cut the Indian guy some slack... Think of it this way. Many of these clothing manufacturers will take their excess inventory to other countries,  especially if they do not want them  circulating in the U.S.  any longer.

It's a shirt on someone's back in poorer countries like this.

chillery same guy who talked shit on the Ravens before the Cowboys game last year.  Then, WE SMOKED them in DALLAS in the last game of their stadium.  WE go to AFC championship while they stayed home.

Super bowl with what defensive secondary and what receivers and what QB?

Interesting point from Maine Road about soccer.

When i was in my late teens i used to follow Leeds United home and on the road. Over a season thats 40+ games , train tickets beer food beer admission charges beer

I spent so much money followin my team I think im entitled to say we

first of all I told him in a friendly way, we were laughing about it, the guy is a friend of mine and a neighbor, which is why he was invited in the first place, I actually bought a nice collared shirt with a Texans logo on it and he loved it, now he can look classy and go to the games for free when I invite him, he still laughs about that ordeal to this day, it was harmless, and trust me when I say this, the seats we are sitting on are not surrounded by jerseys, we sit in the area where everything is taken care of if you know what I mean, it is all in fun bro, don't get so upset over me not liking jerseys
