do local bookies ever really use violence?

With the recent online climate, I decided to turn to a local bookie for the first tiime.  Heard about one at the local barber shop, and quickly started placing bets.  I'm a frequent dime player, but he limits me to $300 until he gets to know me.  After the 1st week, I'm down $580, we meet, I pay, and upon my request, he ups my ceiling to $500.  After the 2nd week, I am up exactly $580, and now he won't return texts to arrange a payup meeting.  What's my next step of recourse with a local bookie?

You are basically in the same boat as him just on the opposite side.What can you do?Threaten ? TRy and get him to pay up and at least what you payed him and move on to someone else.There are tons of bookies in every area.Just ask one of your friend who they play with and go from there.

Before making multiple attempts to collect, he did text me, "I have ur funds but my partner said he is dun takin action 4 a while!  Sorry".  I'm thinking I can apply some pressure with the guys at the Barber Shop who led me to this bookie.  Thoughts?

after 1 losing week and 1 winning week the guy cuts you off and does not payup? Mmmmm Sumtin aint right...What kind of a bookie cuts a guy off after 2 weeks ,,,none that I have ever heard off perhaps you have a jackoff in the middle?

be stern and say you want your fucking money.

it comes down to balls at this point.

usually it's not worth it. could you kick his ass? would you even want to deal with all of that if you can kick his ass?

just be polite, stern and stay on him. imho.

thats awful. down 580 = pay ... up 580 = runaround.

I would definitely start asking questions of the guys at the Barber Shop who recommended this yahoo. That's inexcusable for something like that to occur.

all i can say guys, is that it's touching how much you all care. brings tears to my hardened eyes. that's why it will be so difficult to end this thread after the jets get me even (remember, i won $5k yesterday!). life starts anew tomorrow.  and as for the guy criticizing my drinking and use of oxy, it actually makes me a better father.  i know it's hard for most to understand, but the bedtime stories are more interesting when opiates are running through my bloodstream, and i can stomach the ahole parents at my kids games after i snort a rail of oxy in the port-o-john. i'll miss you guys for sure! stay well everyone!! the power of faith prevails once again!!!

 

Even though I'm about 99% sure you are a complete liar. Just by the slight chance this part is true........it's not the parents that are the problem. It is most definitely you. Most people can cope with any situation and get along with others just fine without the crutch of drugs. I'm not saying this because I'm a "holier then though" type person because I am FAR from it. I'm saying it in the outside chance that your child turns out anything like you he will be a waste. Get your shit straight and be a man and a respectable father.

Go back to the barber shop and ask where the fuck is he . Most likely he and friends run out of there

Called the barber shop. They said he took quite a beating from someone else. Ironically, this thread immediately came to mind; violence!
