Can my bookie find me?

I posted a thread about my friend who bailed on his money and couldn't pay. My bookie told me through casual conversation a week ago that he has his adress. How is this possible, no one knows my friend that he would know. Can he get an adress through the IP adress we've been using? We make the bets through a website called betcc.

I know he can get my ip address through the website, isn't there a way to get home adresses when you have the IP adress also? I'm in good standing with my bookie, but I might get out if he can find this info out, who knows what could happen.

you can find a physical address with an IP address, but you would need a warrant to do so.

But, honestly - if you're willing to spend a little coin, you can find anyone's address

ANY GOOD PI CAN FIND HIM WITH A COUPLE OF PIECES OF INFORMATION THAT CAN BE FOUND ON THE NET. A NAME AND OLD ADDRESS WOULD DO.

Sounds to me like you (a) you gave up enough info on your friend for him to find his address or (b) he's bluffing you in hopes that you will pay under threat of harm to your friend.

Tell your friend to pay the effing guy the money he owes.

Yup, there are a few web sites out there that provide personal info on you against your knowledge and permission. The less you post on social media the better.

He could have meant "IP Address" when he said "Address".

He would have to have an in with the internet provider to get from the IP Address to a street address, but he would be able to know what city you are in from the IP address.

and if it really is your friend, if you vouched for him and introduced him to the bookie , then you owe.

 

if you didnt vouch or introduce them, and they met aquaintance on their own, then tell your bookie, to leave you outta this and thats between you two.

how much is running from the bookie worth 5k?10k?20k?

 

If you referred your friend, then your kinda on the ohook too i would think, You need to be a man and tell your friend that a bookie is coming after you for his deeds, and to come clean. 

You need to work out a payment plan with the bookie (even a year if it takes that)

 

DONT REFER FRIENDS THAT WOULD DICK YOU OVER, BETTER YET............DONT "REFER" ANYONE
