I am touched by people still remembering my great dad. He loved this forum whether he was stirring someone up or having serious conversations with search, Hawk, Goose and many others. I went to the lake house with my wife this weekend and there is still a ton of pics of him with the many big bass he caught.

This has been one of the toughest weeks I have had and have been dreading it. I know you didn't know it but he loved this forum and loved all of the people on it. Whether it was picks, cooking tips, politics or just having heart to heart conversations with people he loved you all! Like I said I am very touched of you to remember him and all the great comments about him. I bought my mom a racehorse this weekend Too Much Silver and told her dad would be with her at all the races just like he was when I bought her a couple when he was alive. He drove her all around Texas and Louisiana to watch that horse run. I still can't thank you all for what you did for him and the way everyone touched him in different ways. You are all top notch in my family and my life!

This is especially heavy for me, as my late brother died on Easter Sunday in 1977. He was only 18 years old. Can you imagine? I tell ya, from age 18 to age 21...........those are some formative years. I learned A LOT. And I don't mean in college. Mark Twain once said "I never let my schooling interfere with my education"................somewhat worked for me.
I checked my Covers email, and I have email from Apache from Xmas of 2010........................they will NEVER be deleted.
People, VALUE your friendships here. A friend request COSTS NOTHING, and the value can last A LIFETIME. Sometimes, that lifetime gets cut short, which is why you have to act NOW. There will plenty of people you don't want to communicate with. Grab the few......

You sound like the son ApacheM would have been very proud.
Every once in a great while a special person comes along and touches others lives in such a way they may not even realize.
That special person was ApacheM. I know I will remember his special cooking recipes and his corny jokes forever.
Miss you every day ApacheM and you will keep a special place in my heart forever.
