About to embark on the most difficult challenge I have ever faced

I'll be gone for 60-100 days. Military training spread out in a few different places. Will found out for sure how much I can take and how badly I want to be part of something truly elite.

Leaving the wife and baby behind but she knows how bad I have wanted this for years. Hopefully in a few months, I will be on here posting more details with some good news. On Fathers Day, I found out that the wife is pregnant again! 2nd one just around the corner.

my best brother.  people can debate obama and politics and right and wrong, but in the end, the only absolute is the courage and strength of individuals like yourself.

Its funny....been wanting to do this for a long time and now that I am about 24 hrs away, all I can think about is what I DON"T know...what I am not prepared for. Mental games. But when push comes to shove...I'll be ready.

A little advise to save yourself thousands of push-ups... LEARN the military ranks and remember this phrase... "drill seargent, private Irish08 asks permission to recover"! Also... don't call it your "gun"... you will be beating your face till you wanna cry! It's your "weapon"!

REMEMBER!!  It's all mental, don't worry about what is coming, just do it when it comes.  Just keep saying I will not be beat.
