5dimes Calls Covers a "rock of a forum"
1. That's the business he is in. If you don't want to get dirty, don't play in the mud. Also, I'm not a scamming asshole. I'm a long time account holder.
2. Just because it was a wrestling match doesn't automatically mean that the outcome was EVER disputable. The results are clearly posted and 100/100 people that watched the match would tell you that The Miz won the match. Attempting to create a gray area just because it was an exotic wager is ridiculous.
3. They didn't grade the wager until almost 20-30 minutes after the conclusion of the event. That's been verified by several people that wagered on the event.
4. Exactly. Once again, just because it's wrestling doesn't mean it was a difficult wager to grade. Bodog and the other books got it correct, why didn't 5dimes?
5. That's the point. "I don't give a fuck what the official results posted by the WWE are." Read: "I'll grade that however the hell I want" which is right in line with "some people happy, some not." Me and Kapono = not happy. Tony = delighted.
Remember the Music City Bowl this year?
Controversy surrounded the final seconds of regulation. With North Carolina driving into Tennessee territory to try a game-tying field goal, the clock appeared to expire as the Tar Heels were getting their kicking unit onto the field, setting off a UT victory celebration. After announcing the game was over, the officiating crew decided to review the play. After further review, it was decided the ball was snapped before time expired with North Carolina having too many men on the field. After being assessed a five-yard penalty, Casey Barth kicked a 39-yard field goal to tie the game at 20-20 and send it into overtime.
What if they graded Tennessee as the winner then refused to change the grading? This event was particularly interesting as people dumped off tons of money live betting only to have it scooped up at +9999.

The sportsbook grades each bout by what the ring announcer states at the end of the match. Even if your bet is clubbed by a steel chair for the 1-2-3 or disqualified after a fellow wrestler jumped in, whatever comes out of the ring announcer’s mouth is the final say on whether your wager wins or losses.
Pretty clear to me. Unless their website states something different seems Tony's grade is correct!

What woodpile did you crawl out from? Do you know what the referee said at the end of the match? "Your winner and still the WWE Champion, The Miz."

I am now starting to understand the type of idiot that would bet money on the WWE. You may want to get out of your mom's basement and join us in the real world. Maybe she will put some sunscreen on for you. Why the poor disposition: you could not get your bet down on the turd tossing contest today.
It was first announced a draw assfuck and you lose. No wonder 5dimes doesnt want you as a customer, who would want to have to deal with someone that does not understand logic or english and can not accept when they are wrong.
Glad I do not have Tony's job trying to explain simple matters to dimwits.

Walktheline / Kapono -
So just to clarify, Tony clearly said and stated on the website that whatever the ring announcer says is the winner - and the ring announcer clearly stated that the miz won?
Is there any details left out of the above?

Look pal - I have bet on many things that you might consider to be dumb - Dancing with the stars, American Idol, Oscars etc - money is money - and if these guys have an edge they should bet it. To insult them because they have an expertise in an area that you think is stupid, even though they can make money from it - well - only seems stupid on your part. If I were an expert on spelling bees and I had an edge, I would bet a spelling bee (I actually did, and lost).
On the other hand, it is unfortunate that wrestling has so many vague outcomes that seem to leave up for interpretation - but I am still waiting to hear the answer to my above post about clairification.

Yes. My Miz +1000 ticket was graded as "cancelled" because the match was initially announced as a double count-out, then it was restarted, and ended with Miz being announced as the final victor. Tony is claiming the initial announcement governs the bet as opposed to the final result.

Exactly van. I love wrestling, always have as an escape from everyday life. I deal with very intellectual, complex, technical matters on a day to day basis. When I get home I like to shut my brain off, and wrestling is a great way to do it.
I don't care who is making the odds on wrestling, I will always have an edge I feel. So far, three years in a row, I've made money on the event (and I will a fourth year as well, but it will likely have to be at bodog or something)

Comparing NCAA football with WWE is pathetic.
Not understanding the point and calling someone pathetic is actually quite pathetic itself.
The types of events are irrelevant. The point he was making was two fold.
1. both events were initially considered final, then restarted, AND THEN deemed to be final.
and
2. although both events were played out in a similar fashion (which imo sets a precedent) both were ultimately handled differently
I will say that gambling on "exotics" where events are even more easily manipulated than others isn't the most sound way to spend ones money but again this is not the point.
I am glad to hear that walktheline and kapono have seemingly found some recourse. "Take the money and run" seems quite apropos.
btw, thanks for the heads up. I had been considering making a substantial deposit with 5Dimes for the upcoming football seasons but have now decided against it.
Hey Tony, as you circuitously told WTL,"Go fuck yourself!"

The truth has been out there the whole time, ever since my first post on this matter. It's only "coming out" to you now because you haven't been paying attention from the beginning.

You must not have to deal with customers. When I have to repeat myself a thousand times, I get a little cranky myself. And Tony didn't get really rude until the OP basically called him a cheater and a liar.

So what is your argument, kapono? Did 5Dimes not post in the rules they do not look at overturns, or are you claiming there was no overturn, or that it happened too soon after the match ended the first time?
I'm claiming that the final result, as announced by the ring announcer, was that the Miz was the victor. There was an initial decision announced, the event was re-started, and then there was a final decision announced. No decision was truly "overturned" because the initial announcement was not the final decision, if that makes sense.
Obviously the problem is that the rules are not really cut and dry in this situation and they are ambiguous enough to allow for multiple interpretations.

That is it in a nutshell.
Im not saying you are wrong, Im just saying that as stated and based on the nature of wrestling itself, there seems to be endless possibilities for controversy.
On another note - there really arent any reduced juice books elsewhere for american bettors these days - so you might want to consider your choice carefully. Im not defending the strongarm tactics, Im just saying that you are in the position you are in - and dont make a decision that leaves you in the cold.

I definitely am Van. I have to weigh that ~$500 return versus getting shut out of my favorite book that I have ever played at for the rest of my life. Let's assume I am a $10 a unit bettor. If I can regularly get -105 at 5dimes (which I can, often better) as opposed to -110, that's basically $0.50 every single unit I bet. Only need to take 1,000 units at that rate to make up the difference. I've already put in around 350 for one NBA season, and MLB I'm guessing will be slightly below that.
Tough decision. I'm probably gonna stay after thinking about it more

Well, on a 10 dollar bet, it would be a .25 savings not .50 - unless you lose all of your bets!
But you are on the right track.....

Fair result if you ask me, and I'm very happy I don't have a lifetime ban with 5dimes, essentially I just have a negative balance that has to be reimbursed if I want to come back and play

did they pay you the full amount or just $500? what book are you going to play at now?
They credited my account for my two Miz winning tickets and subtracted a Cena hedge that I had made as a loser that was previously graded as cancelled as well.
I've transferred my funds to BetJamaica.
