Why is it that....

beer in bottles tastes so much better than the same brand of beer in cans?

My thoughts...It could be that glass is more of an insulator than aluminum so beer in cans change temperature quickly which would affect the taste more. Light also affects how beer tastes in which case cans would be the better choice. Brown bottles would be better at blocking light than clear bottles. I think if you ask 100 people what they prefer it would be close to 50/50.

Give me bottles any day of the week.  There is a notable difference in taste.

It's the fact that the beer in cans is sitting in aluminum for days and days.  Picks up some of the taste.

To me, cans are closest to what you can get to draught.  Bottles always taste a little watery for me, no matter the brand.  I always cringe when I see someone drinking a bottled beer at a bar, why not get draught, sweet tasty draught?

bottles for sitting back and enjoying a tasty cold one. If its a shit beer like bud light or mgd cans don't really matter much. Those beers are for chugging. Just my opinion...

cans taste better for me ,especially for domestic brands, some guinness cans contain a "widget" which tries to replicate the draught taste, does a good job
