SA sounds like the Japanese school of thought but that's more for older guys.

When you are young, it's just easier to put on some muscle.

I was a skinny kid in HS and when hit college threw on some muscle, drank keg beer every day for ten years and taco bell but still could not wait to take the shirt off in public but then the 30s hit and the gut forms and then its like WTF???...... then you learn how to eat properly but it really doesn't matter when you are in your early 20s.

I just told gator this but that boxing can be intense.

We had boxing competitions in college and two of my frat buddies for some idiotic reason decided to sign up.  Huge school and neither one had ever boxed before.  Heavyweight division to boot.  After a few rounds nobody could even hold their hands up.  It was easier just to take a punch than to lift their arms.  It was like they were stoned or something.  They ended up winning because the other dude simply just fell down from exhaustion...... with a shitload of people watching.  It was like in slow motion.

Any form of high intensity interval training is great for burning fat.

that is awful for your size and age..5'11 200 pounds is not that out of shape..you should be able to do sets of 50 push ups..here is a good routine for you to build up to that...take a deck of cards and shuffle them..turn over 2 cards and whatever the sum is do that in pushups..wait 1 minute and turn over 2 more cards and do it..repeat until you go through the whole deck

These guys are hung up on pushups.  Baby steps.

By the way, these two minutes of pushup are going to be the easiest exercise out there, so no bitching about that.

    They are fun

    Do some more pushups

Okay, if pushups are not fun enough, then let's go outside and do some wind sprints.

    Good thinking.

Hit the liquor store first then work out later.

did you try the deck of cards push up workout yet? and i hope i didn't offend you by saying your amount of pushups was awful.. i just meant for your size you are not really out of shape(weight wise) also a sprint drill that is a little more fun is go to a field with a football and punt it and sprint to it,wait 15-30 seconds and do it again..it's just a little more fun way of running sprints

the push-up game is crazy, it kicks my ass

every Saturday i work out with a group of people trying to make the city fire department and i've been doing very well, out of the 38 im about the 32nd in terms of being in shape but i have the 7th fastest time threw the work out, im younger than most these guys by about 5 years and its how im doing well at it, i have to put 75 lbs on and then use a stair master for 3:20 and then do 7 other events, i have 10:20 to do all the events and my best time is 9:44, there are guys that do it in 8:33, this is a career move and i know that with less drinking, better eating, and working out i can do it in 8:30

Jumping rope is a very good cardiovascular exercise ( burns up to 160  calories in 10 mins.) and adds muscular endurance along with agility, not to mention coordination, & muscular strength.

I found a basic plastic one is best ... .and you can take your rope just about anywhere .

Start slowly and use an exercise mat or wood surface, a hard surface will kill your shins......

When you get good you can do jump rope jumping jacks ..
