Day 1- QUIT Straight Skoal

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's kind words and Tips/advice on how to quit this disgusting habit...

 Day # 1 is today Nov.29th.2010--  today my daughter is 11 months old and thought today is the day to quit.. I opened up my backdoor this morning and threw 2 cans as far as I could, I played shortstop in college and basbeall got me into this habit when I was 15 years old...

  I started this thread because I really felt that some guys posts helped me to try and Quit.. so thank you and help support me, Gotta go get some sunflower seeds and some halls to get through tonight....

Did you get the dental check just to make sure the inside of the mouth was ok  Check for Leukoplakia

Keep it going man.  I am going on 6 years this spring.  Skoal straight was my fave as well.

day 2 almost complete---  No skoal... had some sunflower seeds to help a little-  really no signs of any withdrawal...   have dentist tomorrow at 5pm

I quit yesterday.....just packed a dip of skoal mint 30 minutes ago. Will try this again tomorrow. Good luck to you Once you get past 10 days you are not physically addicted anymore.

I'm still doing well.  I was dipping Mint Timberwolf the last couple years, used to be wintergreen/mint skoal. 

Another week or so and should be in the clear hopefully.

wow hope that 10 days really works ...  today was a completion of 3 days without dip with no really side effects

just threw in a bunch of david sunflower seeds before bed( normally I would throw in a half can of dip)

    this is helping ALOT>>>  I Strongly recomend trying this method
