celiacs disease and diet

We have just gotten the news that my wife has celiacs disease. I've been doing alot of research online and am finding basically, anything with gluten is out. We are making an appointment with a dietician under a recommendation from our doctor. Does anyone have an experience or know someone with celiacs disease? We pretty much have to change our diets totally so any input will be appreciated
