Refs handing out yellow cards like to the costa ricans like they're going outa style towards the end of the game. Handing yellow cards for no normal fouls. Knocking them down to 10 men.
I knew Greece was going to score. They even gave one to the goalie. Trying to soften up the costa rica defense and give Greece all they could. It worked.
This has nothing to do with what side i'm on either. Just blanatantly obvious.

the guy that got red carded deserved it. just plain stupid on his part. he wasnt even close to the ball but i agree he has been yellow happy against costa rica.

I know that if the same player gets 2 yellow cards in a game its a red and an ejection the rest of the game.
Having said that so do the refs, and they knew he would be ejected giving greece a man adavantage the rest of he game. Thats HUGE.
which is why in such an important and physical game you have to let the teams play and not change the outcome of the game so drastically with those kind of calls.
The Greeks have committed fouls just like the cr player that was handed the second yellow card but did not get one. You juat have to be consistent with your calls if you're going to be sensitive to,fouls & cards you have to do it. To both sides.
Also, that handball by Greece in the penalty box was also overlooked.

CR deserved this win. They overcame the refs, and played a man down for 20 minutes of official time, and two extra times. GUTSY.
I know one thing---if the refs don't reward Robbens flops at critical times, CR has a good shot at upsetting Holland.
As long as the ref for that game makes fair calls, CR has a better chance of making it to semi-finals than Holland.
CR is doing so well because they are playing like a team, and the only reason they had such an awful time yesterday was because of that ref, whom I dare say received some incentive to help Greece - I've never seen a ref take a side so obviously before that (corrupt or just due to disliking CR for any personal reason).
