Sweden's 1-0 win to eliminate Italy was legit, a trademark of a team effort, grueling effort in front of 70,000 hostiles, denying a generational Euro mainstay in WC.  Sweden has had a part in denying Germany and Netherlands, sending Mexico to face their nemesis Brasil. Cold blooded. They feel they belong. 

3. Easier paths for "3 lions" will not pay dividends when it matters most, and will witness what heartache Italy had to endure, as all 12 cylinders (mgr included) are firing. 

Russia v. Croatia

1. Never underestimate an opponent, esp at home. 

2. The host nation receiving accolades for doing an exceptional job in this WC, excellent hospitality, responsibity, all factors under their control were met beyond expectations. FIFA controls referees, matchups. An all European finale is guaranteed. Asia, Africa, Latin America and Arabia have all failed to exceed in the sport, and concede European hegemony.Does host Russia want this dream run to end now?
