Suicide Pool

Ok guys, I'm in a suicide pool at work. I've never done one of these before. I was hoping to get some advice from the covers guys. The rules are simple: You pick one winner, straight up, each week BUT you can only pick any given team once. Winner take all.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Hi trackem

Hope you had a nice off-season my friend

Here is the deal, its very hard to win - in the end luck may just be what you need to win it.. my suggestion

Break down the schedule and just go with your gut - pick all the games now, or at-least write down the games that you like.

Good luck this year and look OUT for those Tigers of Auburn
I think this could turn to be a Huge year for you.

I would take Browns or Cardinals in week 1, they should win and this way u will be saving the good teams to be available for future weeks

take miami dolphins

Pick week to week, do not look ahead and try to "save teams". It's a losing strategy IMO.

Stay away from huge favs, everyone else will be on them and when one loses you will lose a bunch of people. No one wins these betting all chalk.

having been in one for the last 5 years here is the best advice I can give ..

Thanks guys. All sounds like good advice.

Gold, I think you may be right. Auburn may surprise some people this year IF the D has improved.

Don't worry about saving the best teams for future weeks. Way to win this pool is by picking the team that you think will win that week. Even if its the Pats, Saints, Colts etc. It doesn't matter how early you use them as long as they win because you could lose early and never even had the chance to use them.

For the first four weeks I like to take a reasonable favorite who is playing at home, or an average team playing a shit team.

Tennessee, Arizona, and Miami are my 3 choices for Week 1.

You have to figure most everyone will be on the same teams for the first couple weeks because its still wide open.

made it to week two. used the fins.
Dallas, GB, or SD?

GB.  They are 14.5 point favorites

I'm going with Philly this week.

GB

GB

Frozen, shes a 10

go with greenbay , sd anddallas arent really locks they could go either way, like new england also but green bay is safest pick
