How many sports gamblers also play fantasy sports?

I've been betting for nearly 20 years.

Although I grew up playing games like Strat-o-matic and participating in pools, once I started betting on sports I pretty much stopped taking the old stuff seriously.

But I have a good friend who swears that his constant following of his fantasy leagues makes him that much more knowledgeable about sports, and therefore he makes better picks.

What percentage of sports bettors do you think also play fantasy sports?

Anyway... hands up if you also play fantasy sports!

I've been in a very competitive high dollar fantasy football league for 8 years.  It helps me cap the pro games a lot because I follow the match ups and injuries so much.  I also find myself betting fewer games which isn't a bad thing either.

i play high dollar baseball and football leagues,, it has nothing to do with my capping,,,,well, i guess it don't hurt, but i don't see where it helps. I absolutely love playing fantasy sports but i HATE talking about it out at bars or in public and the people that do are sooo annoying.....

As far as I'm concerned, sports betting and fantasy sports are more or less the same activity.  The knowledge and skills that make you successful at one are the same required to make you successful at the other.

Now, the only people who will reply are people who read this forum - and therefore play fantasy sports.
