We you trade DeSean Jackson for Ryan Matthews in a PPR league?

Desean Jackson
Wes Welker
Steve Smith (carolina)
Frank Gore
Michael Turner
Jemarcus Finley

I am thin at back up Rb with just Arian Foster on my roster.

Little input and opinions would help guys.

I wouldn't trade DeSean Jackson.   

He's one of the best receivers in the league.    You'll get opportunities to get running backs as the season goes along due to injuries , benchings, etc.    There is always running backs who emerge later in the season.    And you already have Gore and Turner.   

Don't do it.

Plus Sproles is still in the picture in San Diego.    I'm sure he's still going to get a lot of carries.   

i have Maclin on my bench (since I didnt know i would have deSean cause it was an after draft trade) so I offered Maclin for CJ Spiller just to get RB depth

I wouldnt do that trade....Matthews will be a stud, but you have two nice backs in Gore, who is always solid, and Turner, who is going to have a huge bounce back year.  Desean is nice, and while I think his numbers will drop, your receivers aren't out of this world so I'd keep him.  I'd rather have Desean and Welker with Gore and Turner than have to start Steve Smith on a weekly basis, since you never know what your going to get, and he cant stay healthy.  Just my opinion...

I would do it and not think twice.  Lets be honest you need depth at RB and I think that Matthews (if healthy) will contribute at a low end RB1 or a high end RB2.  Also, everyone picks apart the RBs in the draft as they are  key to sucess.  There is likely going to be a waiver wire stand out WR than waiver wire stand out RB.  BOL!

Any1 catch themself watching the eagles game on fox last week and saying "Damn DeSean Jackson is in another league here" Wow he is the total package. Not bad for the 49th draft pick. Pretty funny i thought he would be a bust, didnt think he had the right attitude but he has proven to be the friggin shit.

 

 

Everything in your first post was pretty good.  Then you follow it up with this.  Sproles is dog shit. LT sucked as last year and where was Sproles?  I feel he won't do better than he did last year.  Sproles isn't a rb, he is a tiny wr that lines up in the back field.   Ryan Mathews will get 300+ touches (rushing and receiving)  this year and will out produce Michael Turner.  My opinion.  My dark house pick this year to be a top 5 rb in scoring.

 

Last year my dark house was Ray Rice.  I got laughed at as I drafted him in every league in the 4th round.  It seemed to work out alright.
