Draft Day Blunder

Question

Had a great draft except a huge blunder. Drafted 9th in 10 team standard. Got DT at 9 and Dez at 12. I couldn't believe it when Monte Ball fell to me at 29!!!!! Score. Here is the big mistake (I think). I snapped up Julius Thomas with the 32 pick.

I have 3 broncos! 3 guys I expect to start week in and week out. I wish I would have passed on Thomas. Just didn't notice it until it was too late. How bad do you guys think this will hurt me?

P.S. Got some other great steals in the draft (Gerhart in end of 5th, J.Bell in 7th, Kendall Wright end of 9th, etc) Otherwise a good team

Absolutely no clue why you think it&#x27;s a blunder.  Each guy was drafted properly with appropriate value.  And I actually prefer to have a majority of guys out on the same bye week.  That way you take one bad week as opposed to 3-5 weeks of a couple guys gone every week.

Blunder... Not necessarily. I would definitely see what you can get for JT though. There's some value later round TEs like Zach Ertz, or even Heath Miller, and eventually Travis Kelce I imagine. To that end, you can likely upgrade another spot as people hold JT very very high.

You can easily survive keeping all 3, and it's not a mistake, but if you're uncomfortable having 3 players on the same team (which I am, especially if none are a QB and it's not PPR), then you might be wise to get some value for Julius Thomas.

My 2 cents. Great draft regardless.

DT, Dez and Ball are pretty sick picks.

Thanks guys for your thoughts. Think I might let it play out. Be interesting to give it a shot and see if I can make it work.

If JT has a great first few weeks maybe I'll shop him for a high end RB2.
