I like to pay 2nd place, it's a 14 team league, it's hard to win and tough to be in 2nd too.

I would think something like 750 - 300 1st and 2nd in each, or maybe 800 - 250.

Or we can get real crazy.....keeps more value on the regular season and with 14 teams even being in the top 6 is tough.

3-6 reg season    50 each (200 total)

Very rarely if ever do i shoot down a payout but that one has no chance. No way am i putting in $150 waiting 5 months and netting $450 for coming in 1st.

I like the fact people can win some money without winning it all I mean it makes it even more interesting, and it will keep people active. What Im saying is let say someone is 0-7 to start the year or almost impossible to finish first ... you can easily lose interest although if you have a shot let say at make some money with highest scoring or finish top6 etc its motivating, of course the 1st place should get highly rewarded but I would prefer not a ''winner takes all'' just to keep everybody active and interested for the whole year. What you guys think?

Yes exactly, I think reg season champion needs to be highly rewarded but lets get exotic a little to keep everybody on its toes to win some cash

Like I said the only problem with that is if someone fall WAY behind he will probably just end up not caring anymore or even worst stop being active since he knows he have no shot at winning anything... I think it will be tight but I remember one year we had someone going like 0-9 or 0-10 to start the season... at this point there is not really any interested to compete hehe. Just saying, we need to highly reward coming first but I mean its a 14 teams league and a nice chunk of money so we can play around with it pretty sure.

I think we all agree that ''playoff'' is virtually a crapshoot since some teams rest their starters etc so I would not mind putting the playoff payout down.

Anyway just trying to throw some ideas out there, Im sure we will find something nice

I will, quick idea... Im note sure you guys will like its but there is always the ''Consolation tourney'' (people outside the playoff) maybe we could give the buy-in back to the winner of this? This way even if you got winless all year but manage to win the consolation you get your 150$ back, it could be interesting... thoughts?

Any chance we get my payout in the mix? The Consolation tournament thing is only to keep someone who go 0-16 active, he knows he has a chance to at least make his money back, it doesn't take a lot out of other payouts. I rather have everybody playing the whole year you know

I like the consolation winner getting something but we can't do that option. Gives no incentive to do good. The 2nd place (2nd best player of 14 teams) getting only $50 more than the winner of the meaningless tourney?

There's really no way to get a prize situation going for the consolation unless everyone agrees on something new AFTER the regular season is over. I tried that in baseball last year and nobody agreed.

I'm all for the winner of the regular season getting more...but I know that I'm never going to win that. I'm like the Yanks from 2002-2008. I'll talk to talk and fail to win anything. And if ManRam says that I made a mistake and says that I'm more like the Yanks from 2011-2021...I'll knock his ass out THROUGH my computer screen.

To get back on topic...I like the winner of the playoffs getting the bigger pot OR at least equal the pot because I know that I have a better chance to get that than the regular season prize.

Since I'm going to make the playoffs...I think it's time for me to drop this "fantasy" aspect and GM a REAL organization.

And I have never planned on dropping him but my average is so good all around and Reynolds/Trumbo are giving me more homers so I figured to cut him loose for a pitcher.

I regret it now but I've seen this power surge before. He's known more for his average.

Lawrie is a stud!! Wish I kept him long long ago. I also had Kipnis. I need to learn how to hold on to guys a little longer. I'm still happy to have espinossa I think he will be a good talent to have once he learns to hit for some average
