Vanderbilt not a top 15 team yet? What gives? Who the hell do they have to beat, to get some respect?

Spread less than 7, Vandy to the house. Perhaps under would be a good play too.

Correct....I don't see Vandy beating them, or anyone in the SEC by more than 7. I expect the same from Miss St.

If Miss St. can't beat Vandy by more than 7, than this game goes under.

I like Mississippi State in this game. Vanderbilt is coming off that huge win over Auburn and for 7 days they will hear how good they are.  State is coming off a bye and getting better on offense under the radar.  State's Defense is just has good if not better than Vandy's D.  I think State strikes first and I think it goes to the 4th with Miss. State leading 14-10.  Vanderbilt gets a late score to go up 17-14 or State gets a late score and win 21-10.  I'm going with Mississippi State.

Mississippi State is a TOUGH place to play.. don't forget that. Vandy is a hell of a football team but they will stumble eventually.

this line is mysterious to me... guess people aren't buying into Vandy yet... all i know is Miss St is an SEC doormat...

Very curious line here.  Will be watching the line movement on this one closely.  There should be a TON of Vandy money rolling in on this one.

Mississippi State holds the record for most points scored on LSU so far this season thanks to three names you might want to learn before you unload on Vandy: Tyson Lee, Derrick Pegues, Anthony Dixon.

Watch out for those cowbells. Croom always finds a signature win and this one looks like a perfect setup.

I agree with au4040. They are a different team with Tyson Lee at qb and those cowbells are really irritating for opposing teams. I will most likely make a play on the under when the total comes out.

The line is Very intresting and I think its bc the QB situations still up in the air...Miss St is a Crazy Stadium to play in But I notice Tough teams usually take over in the 2nd half at that stadium. Look at the history when playing...Does Miss St have a O that can hurt Vandy??
Im on you wiht this one Shep I would love to bring this game in but intrested on the generous Spread?

MISS ST matches up very well with Vandy in terms of speed and talent. MISS ST coming off a bye week and being a home dog. I will be on MISS ST, just waiting to get the most points before placing my wager.

I took Vandy last week against Auburn. Vandy has been good to me wish I played on them more often this season. Leaning on Vandy.

I'm leaning on Vandy too.  But I agree with Shepherd this line is suspicious.  I know Miss St is a doormat but even doormats get a win once and awhile.

I expect the total to open around 42 and I'm all over it.

The strength of both teams are their defenses and the run game, which they will try to establish early to give their inexperienced QBs a break, especially Vanderbilt on the road in a hostile environment. Long passes will be scarce as both defenses are known for acrobatic interceptions and strange blitz packages.

Mississippi State will win this game outright playing with revenge. Vanderbilt is a team coming in off a big upset win, and it will be hard to have the same energy against what is a more lesser opponent. I look for the Doggies to lead at the break, and coast to an upset win in Starkville!

If your taking State in this game I would strongly consider you get the 3 instead of the 2.5.  I think the highest it will go up is 3.  I will be shocked if it goes to 3.5.

Did think that line would be higher with the public probably pounding the new nationally ranked team off the big Auburn win.

I like the revenge factor but I prefer to use it when they are double digit home dogs.

Even though Vandy is the favorite, I don't think 1 good year is going to change their mentality of 20yrs, that they are the doormat of the SEC.

The Commodores will be playing the roll of the underdog in this game. Doesn't matter if they are undefeated, when they step onto the field against another SEC team, they will be playing the roll of the dog.

That's the thought that their coach will drive into their head, that they are the underdog, and they have a chance to upset Miss St.
