Fooltime... I've been wrong plenty of times... but I really do like this game and matchup... Defensive front 7 of LSU - running game speed - Mad Hatter - and a rookie QB starting for A&M.... I just need 2 mistakes from him... SHARP
We all get it wrong at least 40% of the time. I'm excited about the game... No matter what side you're on, I think we'll be on the edge of our seats till the end. Hope so anyways... That's what makes what we do so fun!! Well, winning money helps too.

Baton Rouge is not more than a 3 1/2 drive to Dallas. There will be plenty of fans from both sides. LSU is more physical and faster. The game should go similarly to the Arkansas game held at the same stadium. Game will be full of trick plays and fakes. In a game dictated by defenses, take the more athletic, battle tested SEC defense. LSU
it 450 miles - you must drive awful fast - its more like 7 hours

This A&M team will be jacked up playing up in Big D which is virtually a home game for the Aggies. But after losing last year to Penn St, I don't see this Tiger club losing 2 bowl games in a row. LSU will show up big time for this one.
Tigers - Over

I always like reading your posts for the analysis are always based on common sense. I agree that this will be more of a home game for the Aggies being that they are from Texas and the state of texas have a lot of fans for all sports especially for football because of the many great teams and franchises. Dallas Cowboys - TCU - and of course Texas A&M are just a few. The flights might be shorter in time for the LSU team but I don't think their fans are gonna be spending more money on plane tickets on top of the pass to get in the Dallas Stadium. A carpool in the same state will bring 4-7 fans in one vehicle. I say it will be a 75% to 25% in favor of A&M as far as the crowd.
With that in mind, here are the stats (average points) for both LSU as Visitors and Texas A&M as the Home team.
Offense LSU Defense
Away
28.5 25
Offense A&M Defense
Home 33 15
These are games against Bowl Bound teams for LSU and A&M.
I personally and very confidently think that the Texas A&M Aggies
will win this game SU as long as Ryan Tannehill starts as QB for A&M. Since Tannehill got the starting QB job, Texas A&M went six in a row against very good bowl bound teams.. Tannehill was playing WR while J.J. was at the helm of the ship. Tannehill is more of a pocket passer where as J.J. was a duel threat Senior QB but did not do very well when they started to play the better teams after week 3. Not only did the team get their "W"s with Tannehill but stats for (Junior) RB Cyrus Gray were impressive for all six of those games. Averaging 139 yards per game for all six and ending that run with a 223 rushing yard performance versus a good Texas Long Horn Defense to end the regular season.
Last 6 games for the Aggies were against Texas, NEB, Baylor, Okla, TXTCH and Kansas. Both LSU and A&M had a hard schedule all season. LSU against teams similar to A&M were close games. They almost loss to MISS as well as BAMA. Why do I think that A&M are similar to Bama and MISS? These teams have good pocket passers like Tannehill and a good RB like Cyrus Gray. I know that LSU QB is a duel threat but so was Taylor Martinez for NEB. A&M held him to 17 yards in 11 Attempts as well as only 107 through the air.
IMO, Texas A&M have a very good shot getting into the BCS series next season being that their team leaders are all returning next year as Seniors and Juniors along with a couple of 6'4" 250lbs TE's as Sophomores.
Texas A&M 30-33
LSU 21-24
A&M SU WIN

I have got a suspicion that the bookies suspect that LSU is not motivated to play this game. I have no idea how this line is set a -1 in favor of LSU. I know Texas A&M had a great season but they do play in the Big 12. It seems the line should be set at about -7 not -1.
I guarantee Texas A&M did not see a defense that runs this well all year in the Big 12!
HOW DO YOU FIGURE WHEN ONLY THREE OF ALL THE TEAMS THEY PLAYED DID NOT HAVE A BOWL BERTH?

You have the facts to back up your pick my friend.
It looks like A&M has some pretty good cappers backing them here. It might be wise to go with the Big 12 in this one. It doesn't bother me to change it up and take the Aggies to pull off the upset.. Thanks pickboy I'll take the experts advice here and go with A&M and the over.

I'm tired of analyzing these garbage games like last night. Had the over, but the wrong side. I knew Dasher was prone to interceptions and picked him anyway.
Sorry for venting, this thread is about LSU and they this one handily.

tell ya what, this game is going to be physical, A&M is stout team and has impressed me. only caught 2 lsu games this year so can definately say to much about them. but going to have to go with A&M, i think they are going to be to physical for lsu to hang in all 4qtrs. however i wonder if in typical lsu fashion if it will come down to the last 30seconds of the game on the goal line? not touching the total but would lean towards the under as this should be a game of trenches. if it goes into overtime well.......
A&M + the points 5units
lean towards the under.

I think Les Miles comes out fired up, his name has been in the rumor mill, and he said no to Michigan again. His team should be fired up that their coach wants to stay with them. Look for LSU to pound Texas A&M.....

Yes.. Tannehill is a JUNIOR....... BUT.... he won the starters job half way through the senior.... SO.... he is a ROOKIE in my book... no starts = ROOKIE to me... :P
And once again.. I've been wrong plenty of times... but... I'm on LSU!!
SHARP
As am I, but i am 10-1 my last 11 games... would be 11-0 if tuberville weren't such an idiot, damn texas tech. my response to tannehill is that even though he has fewer snaps at qb, he had been playing receiver that whole time, is used to game speed, and is already very comfortable being out on the field. He has also been through some very difficult games already and come out successful! Jarrod Johnson had experience over him and he was terrifying to watch... dasher had experience last night and we saw the result. Good luck either way.

Just a thought... I took Texas as a fun play Vs. AM in their last game... AM let that terrible Texas team hang around all. game. long. They should have kicked their ass.
FWIW, against a team like LSU tonight an effort anything like that gets them a loss.
AM and their numbers are great. I just sided with intangibles here.

Don't forget the rivalry between those two teams ranks up there with any in college football and it was @ Texas. Texas' offense wasn't too hot, but their defense was ranked 6th in yards allowed (NCAA).

A&M does come into this one with an impressive offense but they will face a very fast and tough LSU defense. I feel that the key to this match up will be on special teams. LSU's Patrick Peterson is a beast on special teams and should be able to provide the LSU offense great field position. Tough one to call but I'm leaning on...
