Sparty steals the  down in the Sunshine State. Laying double digits in a bowl game could be costly. If Cousins can put 3 scores on the board the Spartans just might get the cover. Spartans have a little more to prove in this one. I'll take the 10.5

Picking winners ATS in bowls is all about motivation.

Sparty has the motivation in this game and Bama does not.

Dantonio and the team will be hungry for their first bowl win under this era.

this is a lot of points.  this is also where the actual teams from this year play, and not the traditions or teams from last year.  When ready, MSU can win straight up -- look what they did to Wisky,  they also finished several games taking a knee in the redzone.  Many wins could have been more glamorous; but, Dantonio is not that type of man.

The whole game depends on the O-Lines.  Can Cousins get the time to throw, and, can the Bama stop the MSU rush?.  MSU will absolutely stop the Bama run game. 

Auburn came from behind to beat Bama, but, 2 Auburn D-Linemen had to sit out the first half.  When both teams were at full strength, Bama was dominated.  They are good, but not that good.

I chickened out and got Lots Of Points by taking MSU as part of a teaser.

I couldn't have said it better myself.  A one-loss Sparty team as a double-digit underdog?  As Rodney would say: "No respect I tell you, no respect".  Bama can't be too excited about playing in a non-BCS bowl one-year removed from the title game.  Plus, Big 10 is a solid bowl conference.  Good luck.

lol 30% of the time the winning team takes a knee in the redzone. that means absolutely nothing. what should be looked at here if anything is how many games msu squeaked by in and how many bama let get away...

McElroy's last game anywhere and Cousins has a ton to prove if he wants to be drafted...call me a BIg Ten homer but I am taking the Spartans and the points in this one.

I cannot agree with you on any of that.  Yes each year some conference gets poned in the bowls, and it changes all the time.  What I have noticed is that usually everybody ends up very wrong in projections and such... It could be a down year for the big 10, or sec, or pac 10.

And for you to state that OSU is the class of the conference?  That bears no logic at all.  They had one tough matchup and they lost it.  They had powder the rest of the season and cranked out silly numbers on lesser talent.  OSU is by far the most overrated Big Ten team hands down.

Alabama rolls. Saban has to be pissed with this year's results. I don't see Mich St. being as effective passing without Cunningham.

Motivation as a team is not such a huge factor in some of these games as a lot of these players are draft eligible and they will be playing for that factor and will be at the top of their games.  Bama wins this one by double digits.
