Ok Guys LSU +4.5 and ML is the play....and here is why....

1) LSU tougher sced (not by alot, but still enough to matter)

2) LSU in top 3 in the nation in red zone scoring (Bama 36th)

These teams are so similar its crazy.  They both boast stellar defenses, especially against the run.  Both have solid running games, QBS, lines, etc.  They also both play mistake free football. So give me the team that gets it done when they get the chance to score, throw in some trick plays via Les Miles, and your golden. 

oregon is way better then arkansas, and west virginia would spank penn state at home and still win the game away. lsu by far played the tougher scheldue.

Majority of people here agreed that these two team are equally good, but why did the book open the line w/ Bama -6 ?

The line should be -3 and moves depend on the volume of bet.

Lots of people jump on the opening line of -6 and caused the line to drop down to -4.5 and it's been that number for many days now.

I don't think that the book plan to lose this big game or any games for that matters.

Let's look @ last night's game between C.Mich & Kent.

C.Mich is a way better team on the paper, but Kent was -2 @ the opening, went down to -1 and 30 min. before the game it was -2.5.

Nine seconds left in the game, C.Mich (behinds by 3 pts.) had the ball @ Kent's 11yd. on 3rd down.

They did not attemp to throw the ball to the end zone to WIN (enough time to attemp a pass to the end zone and if missed still can kick to tie), but instead they had QB moved the ball to the left hatchmark w/ 3 or 4 sec. left to kick the field goal to TIE and missed (the kicker had made 10 consecutive FG prior)

I can give more examples of the same on the games in this week.

For that reason I pick Bama @ -4.5.

As long as Miles doesnt let jefferson mess up the game. LSU should be able to hang and put this one away. LSU for the large!

In a game this big, with teams that are more or less even, give me Saban at home every time.

The question we all are struggling with is, can they cover the 4?

Gonna see how my mojo is during the early slate before I decide, but leaning towards Bama at home laying the 4. Might buy a point to get it to 3.

Bama for sure can match their aggressiveness. LSU will not win this game. I am not a Bama fan, nor LSU fan, but a fan of college football. LSU is a great football team, but Alabama is better. Jarrett Lee throws his first INT tonight to Alabama's massive Linebacker, Hightower. Alabama is out for revenge, and Saban doesn't lose revenge games. You will see the Bama Agression tonight, which will be multiplied by 10 because of the crowd, and the revenge factor. This team is better than the team that won it all in 09, trust me.
