The Big East went 3-2 in bowl games... the WAC went 1-3 (both Rutgers and Fresno won their bowl games)... both teams return their QBs and a total of 16 starters from last year...
 
Rutgers played 4 games against bowl teams during the regular season...
Lost to Cincy 28-23
Beat USF 30-27
Lost to WV 31-3
Lost at UConn 38-19
(avg score, 32-19)
 
Fresno played 3 games against bowl teams during the regular season...
Lost at Oregon 52-21
Lost to Boise St 34-21
Lost at Hawaii 37-30
(avg score, 41-24)
 
 
so while Rutgers DID beat USF, Fresno did NOT beat anyone... this is what is called objective analysis... as opposed to just saying Rutgers "didn't beat anyone and the Big East sucks," ignoring the fact that Fresno beat even less than anyone and plays in an even worse conference...
 

Remember no Ray Rice. Take Fresno State + 3.5

you're right... Ray Rice leaving makes the WAC better than the Big East... forget everything else i said...

I love the passion and breakdowns on the thread for this game boys.....nice job.  I have to go OVER with all the returning offensive power on both sides of the ball.  I am very well aware of Rutger's ball controll......but with a third year QB and returning stud recievers........they and Fresno will be throwing deep all day.........plus there will be at least on Defensive td today........(O) 57 all day long!!!!

Britt and Underwood both had 1000 yds receiving last year... first pair of WRs to ever do that in the Big East... too bad Rice was their whole offense...

Did anyone else notice that the game time is still running even though its an incomplete pass. That 1st series with RUT i saw at least 3 incomplete passes and the time still was ticking down.

I think the person in charge of the time clock took the under BIG

yeah i noticed it too. also when the ball gets out of bounds. what the hell this is making me a little mad

after out-of-bounds plays in college football the clock starts running when the ref resets the ball... the exception is under 2:00 in each half...

yikes... this game should be 17-0 right now... that's definitely killing the Over right now... and Fresno doesn't look like they are gonna be lighting up the scoreboard this game... need Teel to start connecting on some of those open looks to Underwood and Britt or the Over is going bye bye...

long trips don't affect teams in college football games...
 
they are a BCS contender for one reason and one reason only... because they play in the WAC...

is anyone else thinking Rutgers should be an easy 2nd half bet?  i haven't seen anything at all from Fresno St... at least Rutgers was threatening to score all half, and just shot themselves in the foot... Fresno hasn't even threatened to score once...

Hey.....the over's still in play here.....anything's possible....the Sooners scored half-a-hundred in the first half all by themselves on Saturday......
