I think that both teams will be able to move the ball at will on the other. The 3 things I see that give FSU the advantage are:
1) NC St's special teams aren't very good. They only average about 37 yards a punt and that could be a huge problem when you're kicking to one of the best returners in the nation in Greg Reid.
2) FSU's ability to get pressure on Wilson. FSU leads the nation in sacks and NC St is 85th in sacks allowed.
3) FSU is playing to potentially wrap up the ACC Atlantic Division. They're currently 4-0 in conference while NC St is tied with Maryland in 2nd at 2-1. That's not to say that NC ST isn't playing for anything because they still have a shot at it but FSU could basically write their own ticket to the ACC Championship Game with a win tonight.
i totally agree with you. i think fl. st roles by at least 10. people betting the home dog because they're a dog is just funny to me. ill take the better all around team any day over a mediocre team at best and being at home...

Great matchup here for a nice thursday night ACC game. Florda State is coming off a convincing win against the U and then winning in ugly fashion against the lowly BC eagles. NC state on the other hand has played very consistent all year except againt E Carolina(Who has a solid offense and isnt as bad as most of you think). In my opinion both these teams are very equivalent across the board. Both offenses are very quick and able to go down the feild in a hurry. Although Florida St does hold a #16 ranking, to be completely honest I just dont see how that is for a team who was smoked by Oklahoma and really only has one big win against a Miami team that quite frankly hasn't lived up to its hype. When Miami is bad they are horrific and Florida state beat them up on one of those nites. NC state on the other hand has played well and yes they lost to Vtech but Vtech has been on track since those first 2 losses and I can see them Finishing out with all W's. I will take NC state here in this spot, They are home and playing in a huge spot on National Television. Look for them to take the early lead in this game and to hold on in a tight game.

Both teams coming off a bye week and should be well rested. Before the bye week FSU barely pulled out a victory over a terrible Boston College team. NC St wasn't that great themselves before the bye week in losing in overtime against ECU.
Wilson has the edge over Ponder with the numbers in the passing game but Wilson has been terrible as of late throwing for 8 interceptions in the past 3 games. I didn't see the NC St/ECU game but I know 3 of his last 8 int's came in the ECU game. Wilson will need to make better decisons with the ball against a very tough FSU defense that only allows an average of 16 points per game.
Of course FSU has their problems as well on offense with Ponder and Thomas nursing injuries but FSU and their defense has been their key to sucess this season.
With all that said...I like NC St in this spot playing at home taking the points. Last years matchup was a shootout with FSU winning in the end. I can see another close one here so I prefer to take the points.
