I like Florida (big play) and over (small play) SEC far superior conf. than big12. Florida will keep scoring against oklahoma and not stop. Defense of florida will be a thorn in the side of bradford/ def coor./ stoops. Texas doesn't realize how lucky they are NOT to be playing in this game against HUNGRY GATORS.

OU is my play. I love that Bob Stoops and the OU players have had to spend the last couple weeks basically apologizing for their previous bowl performances. The Sooners are doubted. Motivation is one of their biggest advantages. And keep in mind that the underdog has won five of the last six title games straight up. The top scoring team in college football history is getting 5 points. Amazing. A rew other thoughts:
- The Gators have one starter from their championship team two years ago. This is not the same team, especially with regard to their pass rush. They rank 30th in the nation in sacks despite spending much of the game with the lead. OU ranks 3rd in sacks.
- Oklahoma's offensive line has a combined 170 starts. They have three Big 12 first teamers. OU has the better O-line.
- OU has more wins against ranked teams (TCU, Cincinnati, OSU, TTech, Missouri) and a better loss.
- OU played two of the best defenses in the country (TCU and Texas) and scored 35 in each game. And that was earlier in the season. Bradford and Co. are now much more comfortable running the hurry up offense. And this is going to be the difference in the game, if OU is to win. Florida is going to have to get set with a new play coming about every 20 seconds. There's also the issue of stamina. OU's hurry up D wears down teams quickly. How well an inexperienced Florida D handles that is the most important factor in the game. I think there's going to be problems.

As for FLA, they got their wakeup call early in the year against Ole Miss.. Then Tebow made a promise that he has backed up. They have been dominant since that day. There is something special about this team. The leader - Tebow is unbelievable, their team speed - unmatched..
So, even with the spread now being -5 I am still going to go with FLA. I would even take them at -7. As for the total, we are going to be surprised here, it will be lower than we think.
Prediction: FLA 37 - OKLA 28

NoBet, since the Texas lost OU has been pretty dominant themselves...the let Kansa hang around in the following game for a half and then went on a tear averaging over 60 ppg.
I am really divided on this game but probably lean more towards FLA and their experience in the Big Game. Public and Sharps both on Florida. Will this be a close game and Vegas middles this one?

First of all, you said Florida has one returing starer from 2 years ago. you do realize college is only 4 years long right? If you used this logic in the beginning of the season i could see it, but now? seriously? what the hell does 2 years ago have to do with a florida team that has been running through everybody since their loss? Do you know what kind of players a program like this gets?
second, you said picking teams bc of a better conference is stupid, but now your basing thoughts off of who played more top 25 teams...oh yeah of those top 25 teams that OU beat...TCU barely beat a wac team, Cincy got rolled by V Tech for gods sake, Okla St lost, Tex tech got rolled by the only team to eek out a victory over florida, and mizzou should have lost to northwestern....

Fl has home field, OU running back out, Tebow is very religous, I hate the color red, I don't care for gator tail and If god had not intended for man to eat box he would not of shaped it like a taco. 2 units on the coin toss. Heads.

Dutchman, I have no allegiance to the Big 12. I bet against Ok St., Mizzou, Texas and Texas Tech. I bet on Kansas and Nebraska. Let's just say that the Big 12 has been very good to me during the bowl season.
The point I made about Florida's lone returning starter has to do with styles. I've seen lots of comments about OU not being able to handle Florida's D. Well, Florida doesn't have one starter that remains from that title team. This Florida D plays much differently. The 2006 team's strength was their pass rush. This team's strenght is depth and solid LBs. I just don't expect Florida to get to Bradford enough to make a huge difference in the game.
I pointed out that OU has the tougher strength of schedule because people like you are banging on the SEC. But it seems that OU played the harder schedule, week in and week out.
We obviously don't know how this is going to play out. But I like what I've seen from OU. And I really like that they're getting 5.5 points now and it could go up even more before kickoff.
Best of luck to you. If/when Florida covers tonight you can tell me that I'm a moron. It won't be the first time.

-7.5 is a lot of points when you consider how well Oklahoma scores. @-3 my early lean was to Fla but @-7.5 I dont see how i can take that bet. There are a lot of signs pointing to a Fla blowout but I have a gut feeling this is going to come down to a late drive in the 4th. If the line holds this big Im going with a small play on Oklahoma. And don't forget Alabama, the lost to Florida by 11 and then got embarrassed, and I mean embarrassed by the only undefeated team in the country. Think of all those guys who had the Bama and the ML...they all thought it was a done deal and ended up losing.
Most everyone on these boards felt the same about Texas and Ohio State...and many here feel the same about Florida rolling OU. I'll be honest and say I have no allegiance to either school and I am actually leaning towards Florida.

All told, Heisman winners have won 22 bowl games and lost 26. They have lost three straight and six of the last eight.
This doesn’t look like a good scenario for OU. Both the sharps and public are all over the Gators, so, all this money on one side makes gravitate towards OU plus the points.
Admittedly, I bet a lot of DOGS and UNDERS and it doesn't always work out well but I've done well the past year. Do I wait to see if this line get to 6 or 6.5 and buy it up to 7 and take the Sooners or get it now at 5.5 and take the Gators? Most of the Sharps took this at -3, -3.5, and -4. The public jumped on board and moved it to where it is now. Is this a line that Vegas middles?

Come on dude. I asked a good question. I haven't seen evidence that the sharps have a big preference one way or the other. What I've seen is that the public is the one driving the line. I'd like to be on the side of the sharps more often than not. But at this point I don't see them going big on either team.
