Paul Johnson is another upcoming coach. He was the O.C. at Hawaii for awhile. Tech's defense will stop Clemson. G. Tech's Dwyer will have a big game here. Clemson always underachieves.

Thanks  Happykane for all the usefull info about both teams, this is why Covers is a great site thanks to cappers like you. Bigdaddy I am leaning with Clemson as well, Dogs has been kind for me on Monday and hope it continue Thursday. I am leaning on the Under as well, since both of this teams love to run .. BOL

-As far as O-LIne Vs Dline, size is not everything.
  -That returning Clemson O-Line gave up many sacks last year, ranked 103rd in the nation according to my research at 2.54 per game, and Cemson rushed for 111 yds a game behind them.
D-Line  was 108th with 1.01 sacks per game, allowing 127 yda a gme rushing
  
-GT O-Line 30th/1.46    avg 273 yds a game rushing
 -GT D-Line 18th/2.62   avg 120 yds rushing allowed
 
-Clemson QB situation shaky, already unimpressive group of receivers thinned out, it willbe all CJ Spiller, who GT will be keyed on. GT also hs Thursday night home team advantage, and I see no reason to back Clemson here.
 
But I been gettin my ass kicked so far, so what the fuck do I really know?
 
2-0 finally yesterday after switchin back to MLB, loaded up on TExas Rangers today and all profits will go on GT.

looking at the under here...  both teams looking to run the ball with dwyer and spiller....  good o lines on both sides..  alot of starters returning on the D of both sides...

early lean on GT...  kinda of worried, that the short week will affect both team prep for the game... specificly on the clemson side prepping for the triple option....  it one thing to say your rested, and another to play the game on only 5 days of rest.. that option wears downs defenses...  ask ohio state last week...

Clemson's D is gonna be an animal this year and did a pretty good job on GT defensively last year, holding them to only 14 pts offensively.
 
The real questions surround the Clemson offense and whether or not they can keep big play GT offense's possesions limited.  I think the Clemson backfield and o-line will show well against a GT d-line that lost three starters to the draft, manage the TOP and keep their defense fresh enough to stay disiplined on D.
 
I like the Tigers to go down to Bobby Dodd and pull out the upset on Thursday night.

Take the over and thank me later.  Both defenses are overrated and Clemson won't be able to stop the PASSING attack GT will bring.  Mark that down.  Clemson will have some success running the ball, possibly breaking some big plays with Spiller.

Clemson has been overrated the last couple of seasons. This year they might be a little underrated. These teams are pretty evenly matched. They'll both finish near the top of the ACC. I like Clemson getting 5.5. The line is moving their way so I'll probably wait until tomorrow to place my bet.

Also, take a look at the UNDER. G-Tech's D is pretty solid and I'm not sure they're offense will score a lot of points. I like under 42. Final score 13-10 or something like that.

Well......there are some very, very interesting takes on this thread so far.  Nice work Happy.......just keep it to the write up and I think more people will read it and take away what they want from it.  Nice work my friend......Big D is on the lean against me.....that makes me nervous as a person in church!!!
 
I don't like giving up that many points in a conference game where either QB is really all that good.  I will say this though, for me it is very simple.........Clemson has a new coach in his first conference game on the road against a very well coached option attack and a defense returning 8...........that is enough for me to say the bee's and lay the chalk in Georgia at night.  GL everyone!!

Gtech also in a spot similar to Clemson last year. Lots of hype means lots of pressure. After last week for those of us who took beatings, Vegas is catching up. Read between the lines and you shall have much dough. With all the press, shouldnt Tech be like 7-10 point favs???? HMMMMMMMMMM

See no clear cut winner on this, sometimes you find an edge, sometimes you are just gambling.  Will keep reading to see there is a point that separates these two.  Do you really see anything clear cut here?  I get the three day preparation thing, but Clemson didn't need to waste anytime on their opening opponent so I think they should have this figured ou by now.  Heads or tails?  Help!

This is actually not right. Swinney coached Clemson to a 2-1 road record in the ACC during his time last season. He beat Atlantic Division champ BC in Chestnut Hill and the Clemson D nearly pitched a shutout at Virginia. The lone loss was at FSU.

Don't worry about it my friend I could be worng on this one and it certainly would not be the first and surely not the last.I went 8-1 last weekend so my luck should be running out soon
