ND was the biggest bet in Vegas. Everybody was taking them coming off a loss last week to Northwestern. It happens you had a bad week who cares. But don't come at me like I'm one of these clowns ripping you because of your picks. I want to see people do good and win money.
I took Indiana because of your writeup but I'm not going to sit here and blame you. Ohio St got up 14-0 and lost focus/interest. You take away the 2 INT's thrown in Indiana's territory and we have a whole different ballgame. I agreed with the pick, that's why I took it. I also had Iowa +10. It takes time to go in depth with these write-ups so respect.

I still didn't care ND was the biggest bet. Matter of fact, Knicks last year were backed huge in games I backed them in and I hit at an 80% clip.
Loved the spot for ND at home against a backup QB. If a kid hits a 32 yarder, just like the early INT's in the OSU game, it's a totally different story, but I'll take my lumps with these two.

I dont think he cares about winning or losing, it's about how many views and attention he can gather appears to be his primary purpose here.
Without any doubt, he’s very educated, most educated people would walk before they lose everything. At least call it quits for a year and recoup.
To each is own i guess, something tells me however he’s on the type writer now preparing tommorows game plan.

Its strange if a person gives a good write up you think its a sure thing. You dummys blame Scal for losing. Do any of you make money gambling? Of course not you follow somebody's advise. When will you all understand what it means to be a professorial gambler.
I am 100% sure that everybody in this thread loves the action of betting on a game. It gets the juices flowing but I bet everybody in this thread is down money gambling. I bet some of you bet your pay check every week. Some weeks you eat steak but some weeks you live on potatoes.
But never point the finger at somebody else if you lose. Even worse you blame somebody else because you lost.

For all the hoopla yesterday with OSU, a game that had dozens of posters coming in and saying a -23,000 ML was going down ended with a casual OSU win 42-27: a 15 pt win. The spread was 35.
And the typical brainless idiot says, LOOK AT HOW MUCH HE MISSED BY (this guy with the "His pick lose HUGE" comment).
But did I?
The result came within 40% of the final number.
To put that in perspective, if you play a 10 pt spread in the NBA, it's equivalent to your team winning the game (leg 1 achieved) but only winning by 4 (leg 2 fails and is only 40% there).
That is losing HUGE? That's a HUGE miss?
Folks, look at the bashers.
These guys? Not too bright...Not too bright at all. They don't even understand what a cover or a miss is.
And here they are, congregating in my thread, bashing picks that either are just barely missing (SIX games I posted screwed me on the LAST play of the game or fell .5 pt outside the number by some ridiculous screw up), or when they lose, really aren't the terrible losses they try to make them out to be.
When the money truck rolls in, these guys better jump out the way into the gutter, because I am coming FULL FORCE their way.

Ignore the haters scal....I was with you for the Rutgers play last week, and am an OSU fan. I stayed away from this one just b/c I had other games I liked better, but I thought Urban would do exactly as you described.
You actually take time to cap these games, and find angles and motivational edges when they apply. All the lazy morons in these forums want to troll for someone else to do the work, and then act like a crying 3 year old when they lose.
Keep up the good work, and keep finding the true signal on games among all the noise around here.
Nobody could have predicted the turnovers by the Buckeyes in the 1st half

Scal: I think you're a good capper, but your losses were the wrong side. You can't claim Notre Dame was close when they were getting smashed all game for the most part. To rely on a field goal and then hope they cover in overtime is a bit much. and your osu pick was way off. it wasn't close. it's all good, but keep it real as the poster above me a few posts said. it is ok to lose plays. the best do too..

I never said OSU came close! And if that's how you read it, (not sure where) it's the wrong it interpretation!
And yeah, 32 yard FG to go to OT are missed every day (nevermind the act ND was in the red zone to take the lead straight up.

Snork, there wasn't a SINGLE poster who could give me ONE legitimate reason to take Indy.
That is the crazy part.
And in the end OSU put up 42 on them. It's not like they didn't score as expected. I was 8 points off. I expected 50.
But my god. Three turneovers in nearly one quarter is as bad as OSU could possibly play against a ridiculously bad defense. It was shocking.
