SCAL, I enjoy your write-ups. When you put that much time and effort into a write-up, you can make the title any dam thing you want. As for the pick, this game also jumped out at me when lines first came out. Just could not pull trigger on giving this many points, but with the OSU fighting for top 4 can very well see it happening. May look to play 1H, hell may even lay the points....you've got me thinking.
I feel the same way abut this line as I do laying 32.5 on Oregon. However, if I was going to lay that many points it would be on Ohio State, given that Oregon is more firmly entrenched in the top 4.

I teased MSU down. They should cover but I'm not crazy about where they put this number. I was expected 24/25 and I didn't cap this game like the Indiana game so the tease worked out for me as insurance (used the Jets at the second leg). 22 surprised me. Rutgers is an autofade in these spots though. They could run on Nebraska a bit and just barely pushed.
No read on Wake, but god, are they terrible.
@Ducks - I just can't see them scoring more than 14. They could only muster 23 against an awful Rutgers team. Second week on the road now and this is against a team that can win the National Championship.
You should watch the press conferences of the coaches. Stuttering and slurring the whole way through, knowing this team is awful.
That win against Missouri earlier in the year, that team is like an alien to this one if they met each other today. Completely eliminated it.
@wmi - well if you're already on, I guess a read isn't necessary. I'm just surprised this many guys appear to be on -34.5 before a write-up even.
All your capper's cards may have to be taken away. This is a no man's land number and you better be sure you can lay 5 TD's before you click submit!
@GQ - small is fine for a number like this.
@bp - no. Not with a team trying to impress the committee and one that is this high profile.

Thanks for the feedback Scal.
I'm on Ohio State and Michigan State early, both nice sized wagers.
Gonna pass on the Wake game---surprisingly they've kept a number of games "relatively close" this year and VA Tech is a bit too up and down for me.

I'll be looking at the later games dependent upon how Ohio State and Michigan State fare.

OSU born and bred here Scal. LOVE the buckeyes here and hoping you were on them coming into the day. I've seen Indiana's qb and he is god awful. Bucks will be motivated to prove they can stop a top runner with Gordon in the potential B10 championship coming up. Bucks d-line best in the nation and motivated at home. Urban will try to hang 70 on them. This OSU team is full of SEC talent with Urban's recruits and system is in full effect. I like Bucks big with you. Sucks i will probably catch a -36 from the local, but not going to stop me.
