Who is the best/proven Covers capper for CFB?
@LonghornHoosier
Someone went to rehab, I see. It was surely needed.
Anyway, just bc you’ve never heard of me, doesn’t mean others don’t. Those who know me, KNOW me; sorry that you’re not in that circle. I’ve been around quite a while.

@gaspar
I play spreads only and my betting is the same across the board. So, if I'm 55% for the year & playing 1U plays, and I finish with 150 total plays, I end up +8.52 units; assuming 10% juice, but I normally get 8%.

Things have changed so much over the past decade or so. There was a time when "posting your picks" on Thursday afternoon made sense, and was basically reflective of what one might do on Saturday. Now, with team totals, alternate line options, and in-game wagering, the 7-9 sides or totals I like on Thursday may bear very little resemblance to what I actually do over the weekend. If you can bob and weave with the changing numbers, you can wind up playing many/most games at plus-money, which really makes a big difference in the long haul. Sure, you'll lose a game here or there to the odd point or two you gave away, but I consider it a small price to pay. There are not too many situations in the gambling world when you're getting way better than true odds on something, but with in-game betting it happens all the time. Anyway, have fun. It's supposed to be fun, at least for most of us.

@LonghornHoosier You, no one, can possibly know everyone on here, We had some constructive interaction couple of months ago about the upcoming season, I did get the sense you had never viewed any of my posts, no biggie, there are alot of people who have come and gone. But I have been on Covers since Dec. 2003, 5500 posts, numerous threads, all over these Sports forums. Just try to be a little more tactful in your approach if you disapprove of an OPs question, you were a little hard on the guy. He's only recently been on Covers, Apr. 2021, we don't know anything about him, maybe he's new to sports betting, or young, we all were once. And part of the reason I do write-ups is to help other people, I've learned some things over the years and I don't mind sharing, helping. Yes, he should take the time to read through the many comments in the forums, no argument there, he's looking for a shortcut, those don't usually work too well. But his question was not something we have never seen before, and we will see it again. Not worth getting upset over, I think we can all agree to that. GL with your plays and your Horns, keep the peace
exactly.100%...nothing wrong with getting a few names of people to keep an eye on as a sort of starting off point...pretty overwhelming to try and go back through history of dozens and dozens of posters and try and ascertain who does well and who doesnt.....its just so bizarre to me some of the weird "protocols" that seem to apply in this place.one is asking who to follow is apparently a cardinal sin and heavily frowned upon..like,its a fuggin betting forum,OF COURSE there are gonna be some folk looking for someone to tail..and the second one is shi.tting all over anyone that turns tout.it doesnt matter to me in the slightest,its neither good nor terrible and i cannot for the life of me figure out why it is seen as such a terrible act and has to be mocked and villified but hey thats just me and my dumb opinions.![]()

@melossinglet
Agree. Yes, maybe people should do a little more research looking for someone to "tail" if that's why they are here.
LHH, went way overboard. He doesn't like it? Nothing wrong with that, but no need to go off and be that rude to the OP, you and others

What did i do to trigger longhornhoosier? Jesus man, the reason i asked is because covers is too big and so many people are posting every day and its hard to go through all. I have a bankroll that i use just to follow covers cappers and I am looking to add few ncaaf cappers to my covers portfolio. I see that longhornhoosier has been here for a long time...i am not sure how he lasted this long in the forum with that kind of hatred and language.

Most professionals value bet by finding value dogs and value lines and mix it up with spreads and small favorites to get average odds over even in the long run. Almost all professional bettors who make a living from sports betting, which i can count in one hand hit 45 to 55%. Those lower % guys just have bigger average odds. For example, look at this pro's spreadsheet docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15CSvrT3osJos4P-Fni102v5fvZqaqm8Q/edit#gid=1712378585 over 3 years and 2000+ plus bets, hitting just under 52% but very profitable. 99% of the bettors here will not be able to stick to that kind discipline to turn $5000 into $1 million over 3 years if they got picks like that daily because they don't have the patience or the discipline to grind it out.
That kind of discipline is not easy but doable if you have self control. I am doing it myself and that spreadsheet portfolio is my best performing one. It is lot easier if you create portfolios of bankroll. One bankroll portfolio to follow only your own picks. Another portfolio bankroll to follow certain cappers on forums you follow. Another to follow certain touts. The entire bankroll can be in the book but you keep track by tracking each portfolio separately using spreadsheets. If one of the portfolio is leaking hard or busted, under no circumstance you will dip into the other doing well portfolios to accommodate the the busted portfolio picks. When you do it this way, the good portfolios will continue to grow and you can easily dump/discontinue bad portfolios. Most bettors go bust fast because they just bet everything without proper tracking and in no time they will reload.

Ill out cap any on here# And I also got that ocean front property in arizona for sale cheap!! For real any one can cap and win you money. Its just if you want to pay enough to get those picks! Most do not want to pay so hence we end up here looking for advise and views from others. Now if you just need help ask,and im sure most in here would give you the pick they feel best about each week ,and that might help you out.

@LonghornHoosier All the good ones are gone or they are now touts. There’s absolutely no one on this site I’d follow or even solicit capping advice from; everyone here is pretty mediocre.
You've obviously never heard of TD21, Blowoutgm, bookieassassin, etc. -- odd for someone who's been here since 2009. Sounds more like you selectively tailed and then blamed solid cappers for isolated swings.

I have an old account that I lost but I have been around since 2008. I am now living in USA since 4 years ago. I am from Venezuela. I have seen how things get crazy in the answers to any post (it is happening in all social media platforms). I dont know why is somebody dont like a post sometimes they answer with a disrespectful words. I used to read a lot of cappers here and I really appreciate when some of them take their time to write about a game. We have to be more empathic with other. All of this is about having fun and trying to win some money. One of my favorite readings here is from guys like @mrusso.
Good Luck guys!!!
