Not so fast my friend, just because Matt Ryan graduates doesn't necessarily mean the Big East falls apart.
Auburn has to go to West Virginia in a few weeks. That should be interesting and it is HARD to play in WV.
As far as the ACC, they had a bad week but if you look at NFL drafts, I think they had the most this year (could be wrong, just a hunch).
The Gold Standard is certainly USC. That's what we want to see.
Colt_seaversYou've stated the obvious by saying that a great conference has depth. However, the SEC doesn't have depth. The 3 or 4 teams in the SEC that everyone talks about are the same teams year after year. Ole Miss, Miss St, Vandy, Arkansas, Kentucky.....Are you saying these teams give your conference depth? Hell, even Bama, Tennessee and Auburn have been used to losing 3 or 4 games per season for the last few years. The excuse that these teams are beating up on each other is bullshit. If you asked me if I'd rather play Vandy or Stanford....I would rather play Vandy this year. Jim Harbaugh will have those Stanford boys playing some football. I believe the best conference in football this year will be the Big 12...top to bottom. But of course, since this opinion is completely subjective, the debate will be allowed to be continued forever.

Also I was defending the ACC not bashing it... I know they produce good NFL football players. This certainly is not their finest year but they are deeper than the Big East.

And you would lose, Cody Hawkins lost to Bama last year. It takes more than 1 star at QB to beat an SEC team. Besides Tebow tops all of your boys. Those are good Qbs especially the first three. At a neutral site Fla Ga would be favored against all of those teams. LSU would be favored against all above except maybe OKL.

There are only 2 schools in the SEC w/ smaller Stadiums that WV.....VANDY and MISS STATE.
DO I NEED TO MENTION THAT AUBURN PLAYS @ LSU (DEATH VALLY - ESPN #1 TOUGHEST PLACE TO PLAY) EVERY YEAR, AND FLORIDA ON A REGULARY BASIS (ESPN #3 TOUGEST).

I agree that we shouldn't get wrapped up over which conference is the best as all of the conferences, including the smaller schools, have some quality talent to offer.
For your sake, I hope that 'ole Pete has his team better prepared to play Oklahoma or Florida than he did with Stanford.

Shit when anyother team would be too if they possessed such dominating winning percentage. 3 heisman winners, 2 (yes two) NC's and annual BCS bowl bids in 6 years. Look say what you want but when that factory in Los Angeles cranks out a dominant product who's avg margin of victory is 28+ pts year in year out, what else do you expect ESPN to do?
