Whodey you are one of the better handicappers I have seen and your call last week on Cinci was fantastic - well done

I am guessing you are a bigger ND fan than the Bengals but that is just a guess. Based on what I have read from you in the past.

And I am not trying to change your mind - just sharing my thoughts

I admire your spirit. I really do ...It is inspiring to me.

Here is my take on this game. Regarding the ND money line

USC is a better team.

USC has a better Defense

USC has better Running backs.

USC has a better secondary

USC has a better coach.

USC has more overall talent

USC lost their a road game this season.

USC does not lose Big road games.

USC does not lose road games outside the pac 10

I don't consider the washington game a BIG Road game.

but I credit them for the victory just the same

ND has the better QB - I am the 1st to say it

and I always try to pick the better QB

but just like Snead vs a nasty Defense. it can be hard

.but does he have weapons to handle USC?

ND is without their best WR ( a big loss )

especially for this game against a great secondary

ND is banged up and not at full strength.

ND has not beaten USC in a long long time. ( i think )

and as our esteemed collegauge Boom Boom has pointed out, 3 points in 8 quarters of play does not exactly inspire confidence.

but granted - - new players on Defense for USC but they are one of the very best at reloading talent/

I read in yoru monster post that you think Clausen will move the ball up and down the field against SC. Not many teams can do that.

I dont recall anyone man handling the Trojans. When they lose its always a close contest.

If this game were in LA the line would be double or more.

I look at this game and ask- CAN ND win it?

Personally I do not think they so.

ND has shown that they can not stop people on the edges

USC has more speed on the edges than any of the opponents that ND has faced combined.

Pete Carrol is going to have his team up for this one

A big game brings out the best in Carroll - THE USC ML has been one of the best ML plays in the past 7 years overall

Predicting an upset on USC has been hard to say the least.

I actually hope you do win as I am not a die hard USC Fan

I'm not angry...I'll give you my thoughts and opinions probably sometime later tonight I have to go to Columbus in a few minutes for some reason..this will give me peace of mind...Then once I get back the first thing I will do is give you a full fledged million and 1 reasons plus a writeup to tell you why they will win. I'm just gonna say one thing...I haven't been wrong when its came to ML's this season...And this in my opinion is the best spot for a ML bet all year for anytime in any sport.

Everyone loves this USC team from what they did in years past. This is not as good of USC team in my opinion and I think they probably lose 2 or 3 games this year. I really think ND (btw I HATE notre dame) keeps this game close and maybe have a shot to win at the end.

Also EVERYONE knows you can't spell SUCK without USC!

Wednesdays game should be a good one first half then Boise will pull out to a win....I like Boise in this match but I'm thinking more about the over. (My opinion only)

Whodes--I live in So Cal and the furthest thing from an SC fan but i watch every game they have played for 10 years now. I can tell you that everyone has the same opinion of SC this year, their not as good, and i disagree mostly. I will agree that at QB Barkley is a down grade from Sanchez but not by much as you will see him improve every week. I posted for the Cal game that SC has not opened up the play book yet and Petey did a little more versus Cal and will full on bust it open this week. SC will pass a lot more this week and ND won't handle it. You have the wrong team moving the ball up and down the field. Barkley is 100 % healthy for this game and finally gets his best receiver in the line up in Ronald Johnson.

AS for the D, they are rock solid, period. ND will not run the ball and SC will get to JC with speed rush off the ends. JC likes to throw it and it's a good thing cause he will be doing a lot of it come saturday. SC gets a starter on D back missed the whole year so far, cannot recall his name (not a homer). Mays will be making plays Whodes you can count on it and you know it. ND will sorely miss Floyd in this one, Petey will have his best cover guy on Tate, bring Mays up for run support and make JC beat him and he likes his chances with his D against a 1 dimensional offense. I do believe ND would have a shot if they had Floyd.

As a sidebar, the Wash. loss was a fluke imo. Corp is horrible, was not prepared and some say Petey wanted to let Sark have one. I don't believe that but just some banter going aorund here. Good thing for SC they don't have to go with Corp and i suspect he will be transferring out.

Whodes you know i like your stuff, i'm not on here posting like crazy all the time but i do know a little about a lot. I also know your style enough to know that no matter what i say you will not budge from your selection and i respect that so best of luck my friend and just consider this my spin on the game. One of us will be right as i dont see the spread coming into play here.

They get blasted or win is basically what your saying

Think that might be the case...I'm thinking win is the option and your right I won't budge. Ronald Johnson won't be a big factor tonight and Barkley is a huge downgrade from Sanchez at this point because he didn't have time to sit and learn the offense like Sanchez did. If Barkley is forced to throw the ball they won't be able to win this game. Mark my words. But hey thanks for the spin, like where your head is at...but even 1 on 1 I'll take Tate in that matchup every single time. Plus you know ND will go 3 and 4 and probably 5 wide. Rudolph is going to be a mismatch for any body even Mays. I really hate that Taylor Mays is on that defense he is a freaking monster. Ever since I've seen this son of a bitch play I've wanted the Bengals to draft him

As a sidebar, the Wash. loss was a fluke imo. Corp is horrible, was not prepared and some say Petey wanted to let Sark have one. I don't believe that but just some banter going aorund here. Good thing for SC they don't have to go with Corp and i suspect he will be transferring out.

Whodey-Respect your passion and wish you the best of luck. I think SC has it all over ND except for Clausen. I simply LOVE this guy as he has amazing accuracy, especially on the deep ball. He has great touch and might be able to pull off the improbable. BOL as I will be waiting for a possible 2H wager....
